Abu Hurayra said, "When the following ayat was revealed ('Warn your near relatives' (26:214)), the Prophet ﷺ stood up and called out, saying, 'Banu Ka'b ibn Lu'ayy! Save yourselves from the Fire! Banu 'Abdu Manaf! Save yourselves from the Fire! Banu Hashim! Save yourselves from the Fire! Banu 'Abdu'l-Muttalib! Save yourselves from the Fire! Fatima, daughter of Muhammad! Save yourselves from the Fire! I do not have anything for you in respect to Allah except for the fact that you have ties of kinship.'"

لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ} قَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَنَادَى يَا بَنِي كَعْبِ بْنِ لُؤَيٍّ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنْقِذِي نَفْسَكِ مِنَ النَّارِ فَإِنِّي لاَ أَمْلِكُ لَكِ مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا غَيْرَ أَنَّ لَكُمْ رَحِمًا سَأَبُلُّهُمَا بِبِلاَلِهَا

When this verse was revealed:" And warn thy nearest kindred (al-Qur'an, xxvi. 214), the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called the Quraish; so they gathered and he gave them a general warning. Then he made a particular (reference to certain tribes) and said: O sons of Ka'b b. Luwayy, rescue yourselves from the Fire; O sons of Murra b. Ka'b, rescue yourselves from the Fire: O sons of Abd Shams, rescue yourselves from the Fire; 0 sons of Abd Manaf rescue yourselves from the Fire; O sons of Hashim, rescue yourselves from the Fire; 0 sons of Abd al-Muttalib, rescue yourselves from the Fire; O Fatimah, rescue thyself from the Fire, for I have no power (to protect you) from Allah in anything except this that I would sustain relationship with you.

لَمَّا أُنْزِلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ { وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ} دَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قُرَيْشًا فَاجْتَمَعُوا فَعَمَّ وَخَصَّ فَقَالَ يَا بَنِي كَعْبِ بْنِ لُؤَىٍّ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا بَنِي مُرَّةَ بْنِ كَعْبٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا فَاطِمَةُ أَنْقِذِي نَفْسَكِ مِنَ النَّارِ فَإِنِّي لاَ أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا غَيْرَ أَنَّ لَكُمْ رَحِمًا سَأَبُلُّهَا بِبَلاَلِهَا

"When (the following) was revealed: 'And warn your tribe of near kindred (26:214)' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gathered the (families) of the Quraish (calling them) one and all, he said: 'O people of the Quraish! Ransom yourselves from the Fire! I have no power to prevent harm or bring benefit to you before Allah! O people of Banu 'Abd Manaf! Ransom yourselves from the Fire! I have no power to prevent harm or bring benefit to you before Allah! O people of Banu Qusayy! Ransom yourselves from the Fire! I have no power to prevent harm or bring benefit to you! O people of Banu 'Abdul-Muttalib! Ransom yourselves from the Fire! I have no power to prevent harm or bring benefit to you! O Fatimah bint Muhammad! Ransom yourself from the Fire! I have no power to prevent harm or bring benefit to you before Allah! All you have is the womb, and the kind relations that shall come of it."

لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ ( وأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ ) جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قُرَيْشًا فَخَصَّ وَعَمَّ فَقَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ قُرَيْشٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ فَإِنِّي لاَ أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ ضَرًّا وَلاَ نَفْعًا يَا مَعْشَرَ بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ فَإِنِّي لاَ أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ ضَرًّا وَلاَ نَفْعًا يَا مَعْشَرَ بَنِي قُصَىٍّ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ فَإِنِّي لاَ أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلاَ نَفْعًا يَا مَعْشَرَ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ فَإِنِّي لاَ أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلاَ نَفْعًا يَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنْقِذِي نَفْسَكِ مِنَ النَّارِ فَإِنِّي لاَ أَمْلِكُ لَكِ ضَرًّا وَلاَ نَفْعًا إِنَّ لَكِ رَحِمًا سَأَبُلُّهَا بِبِلاَلِهَا

"When the following was revealed: 'And warn your tribe (O Muhammad) of near kindred,' the Messenger of Allah called the Quraish and they gathered, and he spoke in general and specific terms, then he said: 'O Banu Ka'b bin Lu'ayy! O Banu Murrah bin Ka'b! O Banu 'Abd Shams! O Banu 'Abd Manaf! O Banu Hisham! O Banu 'Abdul-Muttalib! Save yourselves from the Fire! O Fatimah! Save yourself from the Fire. I cannot avail you anything before Allah, but I will uphold the ties of kinship with you."

لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ {وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ} دَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قُرَيْشًا فَاجْتَمَعُوا فَعَمَّ وَخَصَّ فَقَالَ يَا بَنِي كَعْبِ بْنِ لُؤَىٍّ يَا بَنِي مُرَّةَ بْنِ كَعْبٍ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ وَيَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ وَيَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَيَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ وَيَا فَاطِمَةُ أَنْقِذِي نَفْسَكِ مِنَ النَّارِ إِنِّي لاَ أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا غَيْرَ أَنَّ لَكُمْ رَحِمًا سَأَبُلُّهَا بِبِلاَلِهَا

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'O Banu 'Abd Manaf! Buy your souls from your Lord. I cannot avail you anything before Allah. Abu Banu 'Abdul-Muttalib! Buy your souls from your Lord. I cannot avail you anything before Allah. But between me and you there are ties of kinship which I will uphold.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ إِنِّي لاَ أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ إِنِّي لاَ أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا وَلَكِنْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ رَحِمٌ أَنَا بَالُّهَا بِبِلاَلِهَا

[AI] "When the verse 'And warn your closest relatives' [Quran 26:214] was revealed, the Prophet Muhammad began calling the chiefs of the Quraysh one by one, saying, 'O sons of Fulan, save yourselves from the Fire!' until he reached Fatimah, and said, 'O Fatimah, daughter of Muhammad, save yourself from the Fire! I cannot do anything for you from Allah except that you have a relationship of kinship. I will argue on your behalf with your kinship.'"

لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ {وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ} [الشعراء 214] جَعَلَ يَدْعُو بُطُونَ قُرَيْشٍ بَطْنًا بَطْنًا يَا بَنِي فُلَانٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى فَاطِمَةَ فَقَالَ يَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنْقِذِي نَفْسَكِ مِنَ النَّارِ لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا غَيْرَ أَنَّ لَكُمْ رَحِمًا سَأَبُلُّهَا بِبَلَالِهَا

"When (the following) was revealed: 'And warn your tribe of near kindred (26:214)' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gathered the (families) of the Quraish (calling them) one and all, he said: 'O people of the Quraish! لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ} [الشعراء 214] دَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قُرَيْشًا فَعَمَّ وَخَصَّ فَقَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ قُرَيْشٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا مَعْشَرَ بَنِي كَعْبِ بْنِ لُؤَيٍّ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا مَعْشَرَ بَنِيعَبْدِ مَنَافٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا مَعْشَرَ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنْقِذِي نَفْسَكِ مِنَ النَّارِ فَإِنِّي وَاللهِ لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَنَّ لَكُمْ رَحِمًا سَأَبُلُّهَا بِبِلَالِهَا

[AI] When the verse "And warn your closest kindred" [Ash-Shuara 214] was revealed, the Prophet ﷺ stood up and said, "O sons of Ka'b ibn Luay, O sons of Hashim, save yourselves from the fire. O sons of Abd Manaf, save yourselves from the fire. O Fatimah bint Muhammad, save yourself from the fire. For I have no power over you from Allah except that you have relations with me, and I will intercede on behalf of the relations."

لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ {وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ} [الشعراء 214] قَامَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا بَنِي كَعْبِ بْنِ لُؤَيٍّ يَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ يَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ أَنْقِذِي نَفْسَكِ مِنَ النَّارِ فَإِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا غَيْرَ أَنَّ لَكُمْ رَحِمًا سَأَبُلُّهَا بِبَلَالِهَا

[AI] When this verse was revealed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gathered the Quraysh and said, "O people of Quraysh, save yourselves from the Fire, for I have no power to benefit or harm you." He said the same to the Banu Abd Manaf and the Banu Abd al-Muttalib. Then he said, "O Fatimah bint Muhammad ﷺ , save yourself from the Fire, for I have no power to benefit or harm you except that I will intercede on your behalf."

لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ} جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قُرَيْشًا فقَالَ «يَا مَعْشَرَ قُرَيْشٍ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنَ النَّارِ فَإِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا» وَلِبَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ وَلِبَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «يَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ أَنْقِذِي نَفْسَكِ مِنَ النَّارِ فَإِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكِ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا إِلَّا أَنَّ لَكِ رَحِمًا سَأَبُلُّهَا بِبَلَالِهَا»

"When the following was revealed: 'And warn your tribe (O Muhammad) of near kindred,' the Messenger of Allah called the Quraish and they gathered, and he spoke in general and specific terms, then he said: 'O Banu Ka'b bin Lu'ayy! "The Messenger of Allah said: 'O Banu 'Abd Manaf! Buy your souls from your Lord. I cannot avail you anything before Allah. Abu Banu 'Abdul-Muttalib! Buy your souls from your Lord. I cannot avail you anything before Allah. But between me and you there are ties of kinship which I will uphold.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3645)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا وَلَكِنْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ رَحِمٌ أَنَا بَالُّهَا بِبِلَالِهَا»

"يَا مَعْشَر قُرَيْش: أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكُم مِنَ النَّارِ؛ فَإنِّى لَا أَمْلِكُ مِنَ اللَّه ضَرًا ولَا نَفْعًا، يَا معشرَ بَنِى عبدِ مَنَافٍ: أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفْسَكُم مِنَ النَّار؛ فَإِنِّى لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ من اللَّه ضَرًا ولَا نَفْعًا، يَا مَعْشَرَ بَنِى قُصَىٍّ أَنْقِذوا أَنْفُسَكم من النَّار فَإِنِّى لا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًا ولا نَفْعًا، يَا مَعْشَرَ بَنِى عَبْدِ المطَّلب: أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَكْم مِن النَّارِ فَإِنِّى لا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًا وَلا نَفْعًا، يَا فَاطِمَةُ بنْتَ مُحَمدٍ أَنقِذى نَفْسَكَ من النَّار، فَإِنِّى لا أَمْلِك لكِ ضرًا وَلَا نَفعًا، إِنَّ لَكِ رَحما وَسَأَبُلُّهَا بِلَالَهَا".
