Jabir ibn 'Abdullah said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'If anyone has three of his children die young and resigns them to Allah, he will enter the Garden.' We said, 'Messenger of Allah, what about two?' 'And two,' he said." Mahmud ibn Labid said to Jabir, "By Allah, I think that if you had asked, 'And one?' he would have given a similar answer." He said, "By Allah, I think so too."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَاتَ لَهُ ثَلاَثَةٌ مِنَ الْوَلَدِ فَاحْتَسَبَهُمْ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَاثْنَانِ؟ قَالَ وَاثْنَانِ قُلْتُ لِجَابِرٍ وَاللَّهِ أَرَى لَوْ قُلْتُمْ وَاحِدٌ لَقَالَ قَالَ وَأَنَا أَظُنُّهُ وَاللَّهِ

In case anyone amongst you sees the sad demise of three children of (hers) and she resigns herself to the will of God hoping to get reward, she would be admitted to Paradise. A woman from amongst them said: Messenger of Allah, even if they (the children who die) are two. Thereupon, he (the Holy Prophet, ) said: Even if they are two.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِنِسْوَةٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ لاَ يَمُوتُ لإِحْدَاكُنَّ ثَلاَثَةٌ مِنَ الْوَلَدِ فَتَحْتَسِبَهُ إِلاَّ دَخَلَتِ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْهُنَّ أَوِ اثْنَيْنِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَوِ اثْنَيْنِ

"Whoever seeks reward for (the loss of) three of his own children, he will enter Paradise." A woman stood up and said: "Or two?" He said: "Or two." The woman said: "I wish that I had said, 'or one."'

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنِ احْتَسَبَ ثَلاَثَةً مِنْ صُلْبِهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَامَتِ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ أَوِ اثْنَانِ قَالَ أَوِ اثْنَانِ قَالَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ يَا لَيْتَنِي قُلْتُ وَاحِدًا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr ibn Amr ibn Hazm from his father from Abu'n-Nadr as-Salami that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If three of a muslim's children die, and he remains content with that, they will be a protection for him from the Fire." A woman who was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Or two, Messengerof Allah?", and he said, "Or two."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَمُوتُ لأَحَدٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ثَلاَثَةٌ مِنَ الْوَلَدِ فَيَحْتَسِبُهُمْ إِلاَّ كَانُوا جُنَّةً مِنَ النَّارِ فَقَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَوِ اثْنَانِ قَالَ أَوِ اثْنَانِ

[AI] "Some women from the Ansar said to him (the Prophet ﷺ): 'O Messenger of Allah, we are unable to come to you with the men.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Your appointment is in the house of so-and-so.' He went there and spoke to them, then he said: 'None of you should have three children without considering himself destined for Paradise.' A woman among them said: 'And two, O Messenger of Allah?' He replied: 'And two.'"

أَنَّ نِسْوَةَ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ قُلْنَ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا لَا نَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ نَأْتِيكَ مَعَ الرِّجَالِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَوْعِدُكُنَّ بَيْتُ فُلَانَةَ» فَجَاءَ فَتَحَدَّثَ مَعَهُنَّ ثُمَّ قَالَ «لَا يَمُوتُ لِإِحْدَاكُنَّ ثَلَاثَةٌ مِنَ الْوَلَدِ فَتَحْتَسِبُهُ إِلَّا دَخَلَتِ الْجَنَّةَ» فَقَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْهُنَّ وَاثْنَتَيْنِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «وَاثْنَتَيْنِ»

[AI] From the Messenger of Allahﷺ it was said, "Whoever perseveres through three hardships, will enter Paradise."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنِ احْتَسَبَ ثَلَاثَةً مِنْ صُلْبِهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever has three children and they pass away, will enter paradise." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what about two sons?" He replied, "And two sons."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ مَاتَ لَهُ ثَلَاثَةٌ مِنَ الْوَلَدِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ» قَالَ قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَابْنَانِ؟ قَالَ «وَابْنَانِ»

أن نسوة من الأنصار قلن يا رسول الله إنا لا نستطيع أن نأتيك مع الرجال فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ موعدكم بيت فلانة فجاء فتحدث معهن ثم قال لا يموت لإحداكن ثلاثة من الولد فتحتسبه إلا دخلت الجنة قالت امرأة منهن أو اثنين قال واثنين

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ مات له ثلاثة من الولد لم يبلغوا إلا دخل الجة قالوا واثنين قال واثنين أبو الربيع

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ entered the mosque and there were women from the Ansar (helpers) present. He admonished and reminded them, saying, "Any woman who has three children and they die, will enter Jannah (Paradise)." One of the women said, "O Messenger of Allah, what about those who have two children?" He replied, "And those who have two as well."

دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَسْجِدَ وَفِيهِ نِسْوَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَوَعَظَهُنَّ وَذَكَّرَهُنَّ وَقَالَ «مَا مِنْكُنَّ امْرَأَةٌ يَمُوتُ لَهَا ثَلَاثَةٌ مِنَ الْوَلَدِ إِلَّا دَخَلَتِ الْجَنَّةَ» فَقَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْهُنَّ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَجَلِّهِنَّ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَذَوَاتُ الِاثْنَيْنِ قَالَ «وَذَوَاتُ الِاثْنَيْنِ»

"ما مِن امْرَأةٍ تُقَدِّمُ ثلاثة مِنَ الوَلدِ تحْتَسبُهم إِلا دَخلتِ الجَنة، قالتِ امْرَأة: أو اثنَانِ؟ قال: أو اثنَان".

"مَا مِنْكُمْ امْرأةٌ يَمُوتُ لَهَا ثَلَاثَةٌ مِن الْوَلَدِ إلا دخَلتِ الْجَنَّةَ. قالتِ امْرأَةٌ: وذَوات الاثْنَين؟ ، قال: وَذَواتُ الاثْنَين".

"مَن احْتَسَبَ ثَلاثَةً مِنْ صُلْبه دَخَلَ الْجَنَّة، قَالتِ امْرأَةٌ: واثْنان؟ قال: واثْنان".

"مَنْ مَاتَ لَهُ ثَلَاثَةٌ مِنَ الْوَلَدِ فَاحْتَسَبَهُمْ، دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ الله! وَاثْنَانِ؟ قَال: وَاثْنَانِ".
