I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying during the Farewell pilgrimage: “No criminal commits a crime but he brings. (the punishment for that) upon himself. No father can bring punishment upon his son by his crime, and no son can bring punishment upon his father.”

[AI] "He witnessed the Farewell Pilgrimage with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'No person shall bear the sin of another, nor shall a father bear the sin of his child, and no child shall bear the sin of his father.'"

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying during the Farewell Hajj, "Which day has the greatest sanctity?" They replied, "This day of ours or the Day of Arafah." He said, "Indeed, your blood, your wealth, and your honor are sacred to you, just as the sanctity of this day of yours is sacred, in this land of yours. Behold! Let it not be that a revert to paganism after me should take someone's life, or take his property. An offspring may seek compensation for an injury, but no parent can seek compensation for a harm inflicted upon his child or offspring."
