tirmidhi:2451 – Abū Bakr b. Abū al-Naḍr > Abū al-Naḍr

"The servant shall not reach the state of being among the Muttaqin until he leaves what there is no harm in out of caution for its harm."

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Gharīb and we do not know of any other Ḥadīth except through this particular context.

[AI] On the authority of Atiyyah ibn Sa'd, who was one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, a person is not considered one of the righteous until he leaves what is permissible out of caution for what is impermissible."
