[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When you recite Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah), then recite Bismillah (In the name of Allah), the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (Surah Al-Fatiha, verse 1). It is the mother of the Quran, the mother of the Book, and the seven oft-repeated verses. And Bismillah (In the name of Allah), the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (Surah Al-Fatiha, verse 1) is one of them." Abu Bakr al-Hanafi then said: "I met Nuha, who narrated to me from Sa'id ibn Abi Sa'id al-Maqburi, who narrated similar from Abu Huraira but did not elevate it."
[Machine] Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet ﷺ used to start his recitation with Bismillah hir-Rahman ir-Rahim when he led the people in prayer. [It is reported that Abu Huraira said:] "It is a verse from the Book of Allah. Read if you wish, the Opening of the Quran, for it is the seventh verse."
