"مَنْ كَثُرَ هَمُّهُ سَقِمَ بَدَنُهُ، وَمَنْ سَاءَ خُلُقُهُ عَذَّبَ نَفْسَهُ، وَمَنْ لاحَى الرجال سقَطَتْ مُرُوءَتُهُ وَذَهَبَتْ كرَامَتُهُ".  

أَبو الحسن بن معروف في فضائل بنى هاشم، وابن عمشليق (*) في جزئه [خط] الخطيب في المتفق والمفترق عن علي، وفيه (بشر بن عاصم) عن (حفص بن عمر)، قال [خط] الخطيب كلاهما مجهولان
