السيوطي:٢-١٨٨٥b –

"عن المطلب بن عبد اللَّه بن حنطب قال: لَمَّا أرسل عمرُ إلى عائشة فاستأذنها أن يدفن مع النبى ﷺ وأبى بكر فأَذِنت، قال عمر: إن البيت ضيّقٌ فَدعا بِعَصًا فأُتى بها فَقدَّرَ طولَه ثم قال: احفرُوا على قَدْرِ هذه".
