"مَا أَذِنَ اللهُ لِعَبدٍ في شَيْءٍ أَفْضَلَ من رَكْعَتينِ أوْ أَكْثَرَ منْ رَكْعَتَين وإِنَّ الْبِرَّ لَيُذَرُّ فَوْقَ رَأسِ الْعبْدِ مَا كَانَ في الصَّلاةِ، ومَا تَقَرَّبَ عبدٌ إِلى اللهِ ﷻ بِأَفْضَلَ ممَّا خَرَجَ مِنْهُ -يعني القرآن-".
narrated from Abu Umamah, that he Prophet ﷺ said: "Allah does not listen to anything more virtuous from the worshiper than the two Rak'ah of Salat he performs. And the righteousness spreads over the head of a worshiper as long as he remains in his Salat. And the worshipers shall not draw nearer to Allah, Mighty and Sublime is He, with similar to what came from Him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا أُذِنَ لِعَبْدٍ فِي شَيْءٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ يُصَلِّيهِمَا إِنَّ الْبِرَّ لَيُذَرُّ عَلَى رَأْسِ الْعَبْدِ مَا دَامَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ وَمَا تَقَرَّبَ الْعِبَادُ إِلَى اللهِ ﷻ بِمِثْلِ مَا خَرَجَ مِنْهُ» قَالَ أَبُو النَّضْرِ «يَعْنِي الْقُرْآنَ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has not allowed His servant to engage in anything better than performing two units of prayer or more. And righteousness is scattered over the head of the servant as long as he remains in prayer. No servant has brought anything better to Allah ﷻ than what he has left behind," meaning the recitation of the Quran.
