السيوطي:١٨١٨٣a –

"لَيسَ أَحَدٌ أحَبَّ إِلَيهِ الْمَدْح مِن اللهِ، ولا أَحَدٌ أَكْثَر مَعَاذِيرَ مِن الله".  

[ز] البزّار في سننه [طب] الطبرانى في الكبير [ض] ضياء المقدسي في مختاره عن الأسود بن سريع

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ أَحَدٌ أَغْيَرَ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَلِذَلِكَ حَرَّمَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَلاَ أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ الْمَدْحُ مِنَ اللَّهِ  

darimi:2271 – Yaʿlá > al-Aʿmash > Shaqīq > ʿAbdullāh

Nothing is more loveable to Allah than His praise as He has praised Himself and no one is more self-respecting than Allah Himself and it As because of this that He has prohibited abominable acts. (Using translation from Muslim 2760a)   

الدارمي:٢٢٧١ – حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَغْيَرَ مِنَ اللَّهِ لِذَلِكَ حَرَّمَ الْفَوَاحِشَ وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ الْمَدْحُ مِنَ اللَّهِ»  

ذِكْرُ خَبَرٍ ثَانٍ يُصَرِّحُ بِصِحَّةِ مَا ذَكَرْنَاهُ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ الْمَدْحُ مِنَ اللَّهِ فَلِذَلِكَ مَدَحَ نَفْسَهُ وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَغْيَرَ مِنَ اللَّهِ فَلِذَلِكَ حَرَّمَ الْفَوَاحِشَ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one loves praise more than Allah, and no one makes more excuses than Allah."
