I said: Messenger of Allah, Fatimah daughter of Abu Hubaish had a flow of blood for a certain period and did not pray. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Glory be to Allah! This comes from the devil. She should sit in a tub, and when she sees yellowness of the top of the water, she would take a bath once for the Zuhr and 'Asr prayer, and take another bath for the Maghrib and 'Isha prayers, and take a bath once for the fajr prayer, and in between times she would perform ablution. Abu Dawud said: Mujahid reported on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas: When bathing became hard for her, he commanded her to combine the two prayers. Abu Dawud said: Ibrahim reported it from Ibn 'Abbas. This is also the view of Ibrahim al-Nakha'i and 'Abd Allah b. Shaddad.

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ اسْتُحِيضَتْ مُنْذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَلَمْ تُصَلِّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ هَذَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ لِتَجْلِسْ فِي مِرْكَنٍ فَإِذَا رَأَتْ صُفْرَةً فَوْقَ الْمَاءِ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ لِلظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ غُسْلاً وَاحِدًا وَتَغْتَسِلْ لِلْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ غُسْلاً وَاحِدًا وَتَغْتَسِلْ لِلْفَجْرِ غُسْلاً وَاحِدًا وَتَتَوَضَّأْ فِيمَا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ

[AI] I said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "Indeed, Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh is experiencing continuous bleeding from such and such time, and she is unable to perform the prayer." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Glory be to Allah! This is from Satan trying to prevent her from praying. When she sees a yellowish discharge above the water, let her perform one ablution for Dhuhr and Asr prayers, and another ablution for Maghrib and Isha prayers. And let her perform ghusl (ritual bath) for Fajr prayer, and in between, she should perform ablution."

قُلْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ اسْتَحَاضَتْ مِنْ مُنْذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَلَمْ تُصَلِّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ هَذَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ لِتَجْلِسْ فِي مِرْكَنٍ فَإِذَا رَأَتْ صُفْرَةً فَوْقَ الْمَاءِ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ لِلظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ غُسْلًا وَاحِدًا وَتَغْتَسِلُ لِلْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ غُسْلًا وَاحِدًا وَتَغْتَسِلُ لِلْفَجْرِ وَتَتَوَضَّأُ فِيمَا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ»

[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh has been experiencing istihadah for such and such a period of time and has not been able to pray." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Glory be to Allah, this is from Satan in order to keep her secluded. When she sees yellowish discharge on the water, let her perform one ghusl (ritual bath) for both Zhuhr (noon) and Asr (afternoon) prayers, and one ghusl for both Maghrib (sunset) and Isha (night) prayers, and in between she should perform ablution (wudu)."

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ اسْتُحِيضَتْ مُنْذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَلَمْ تُصَلِّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «سُبْحَانَ اللهِ هَذَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ لِتَجْلِسَ فِي مِرْكَنٍ فَإِذَا رَأَتْ صَفَارَةً فَوْقَ الْمَاءِ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ لِلظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ غُسْلًا وَاحِدًا وَتَغْتَسِلْ لِلْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ غُسْلًا ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأْ فِيمَا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ»

[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, indeed Fatimah, the daughter of Abu Hubaysh, experienced istihādah since this and that time, and she did not perform her prayers." He said, "Glory be to Allah, this is from Satan to make her sit in a place." So, she sat there until we saw a yellow discharge on the water. He said, "She should perform one ritual bath for ẓuhr and ʿaṣr, then another one for maghrib and ʿishā', then another one for fajr. Between those, she should perform ablution." This is the wording of the hadith of Abu Abdullah, and in the narration of Abu Ali, it is mentioned that she should sit in a place. When she sees yellow discharge on the water, she should perform a ritual bath, and it is mentioned like this.
