[Machine] Abu Abdullah narrated that a man from Anbar reported from Thawr ibn Yazid, who reported from Khalid ibn Ma'dan, who reported from Muadh ibn Jabal who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about borrowing wine and bread. He said, "Glory be to Allah, it is only a matter of good character. Take the lesser and give the greater, and take the greater and give the lesser. The best of you is the one who is best in fulfilling his obligations."  

ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْبَارِ عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ اسْتِقْرَاضِ الْخَمِيرِ وَالْخُبْزِ فَقَالَ «سُبْحَانَ اللهِ إِنَّمَا هِيَ مِنْ مَكَارِمِ الْأَخْلَاقِ خُذِ الصَّغِيرَ وَأَعْطِ الْكَبِيرَ وَخُذِ الْكَبِيرَ وَأَعْطِ الصَّغِيرَ وَخَيْرُكُمْ أَحْسَنُكُمْ قَضَاءً»
