[Machine] Rajab is one of the sacred months, and its days are written upon the gates of the sixth heaven. If a man fasts one day of it and renews his fast with mindfulness of God, the gate and the day speak, saying: “O Lord, forgive him.” But if he does not complete his fast with mindfulness of God, they do not ask forgiveness for him, and it is said: “Your soul has deceived you.”

Abu Muhammad al-Hasan ibn Muhammad al-Khallal, in *The Virtues of Rajab*, from Abu Sa‘id.
السيوطي:١٤٤٥٧a
