[Machine] While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , Imru' al-Qays was mentioned. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "That is a man who is mentioned in the world but forgotten in the Hereafter. He is noble in the world, but doomed in the Hereafter. On the Day of Resurrection, he will come with the banner of the poets, leading them towards the Hellfire."  

بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ذُكِرَ امْرُؤُ الْقَيْسِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «ذَاكَ رَجُلٌ مَذْكُورٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا مَنْسِيٌّ فِي الْآخِرَةِ شَرِيفٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا خَامِلٌ فِي الْآخِرَةِ يَجِيءُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِيَدِهِ لِوَاءُ الشُّعَرَاءِ يَقُودُهُمْ إِلَى النَّارِ»  

[Machine] While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a delegation from Yemen came and they mentioned a man named Al-Qays ibn Hujr Al-Kindi and recited two verses of his poetry in which he mentioned a roaring water from the waters of the Arabs. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "That is a man who is remembered in this world but forgotten in the Hereafter, noble in this world but worthless in the Hereafter. On the Day of Resurrection, he will come with the banner of the poets leading them towards the Hellfire."  

بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِذْ أَقْبَلَ وَفْدٌ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ فَذَكَرُوا امْرَأَ الْقَيْسِ بْنَ حُجْرٍ الْكِنْدِيَّ وَذَكَرُوا بَيْتَيْنِ مِنْ شِعْرِهِ فِيهِمَا ذِكْرُ صَارِخٍ مَاءٍ مِنْ مِيَاهِ الْعَرَبِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «ذَاكَ رَجُلٌ مَذْكُورٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا مَنْسِيٌّ فِي الْآخِرَةِ شَرِيفٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا خَامِلٌ فِي الْآخِرَةِ يَجِيءُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَعَهُ لِوَاءُ الشُّعَرَاءِ يَقُودُهُمْ إِلَى النَّارِ»  

"امرُؤُ القيسِ بن حُجْرٍ قائدُ الشُّعَرَاء يوم القيامة وهو رجل مذكورٌ في الدنيا. منسيٌّ في الآخرة".
