"إذَا أَمَّ الرْجلُ القومَ فلا يختصّ بدعاءٍ دُونَهم، فإن فَعَلَ فَقَدْ خَانَهم، ولا يُدْخِلْ عينهَ في بيتِ قَوْمٍ بغَيرْ إذْنِهم، فإنْ فَعَلَ فَقَد خَانَهم".
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When a man becomes a leader over a group of people, he should not single out their supplications without including them, for if he does so, he betrays them. And he should not enter the house of a people without their permission, for if he does so, he betrays them." This hadith has different narrations on the authority of Yazid bin Shurayh, among others. This is one of its variations, and the other is unclear.
