[AI] The Prophet ﷺ passed by a hollowed stump that its people had brought out. He said, "Do you think this is easy on its people?" They replied, "Yes." He said, "By Allah, the world is easier on Allah than this is on its people."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَرَّ بِسَخْلَةٍ جَرْبَاءَ قَدْ أَخْرَجَهَا أَهْلُهَا قَالَ «تُرَوْنَ هَذِهِ هَيِّنَةً عَلَى أَهْلِهَا؟» قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ «وَاللَّهِ لَلدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a dead sheep that its owners had thrown away. He said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, this world is more insignificant to Allah than this sheep is to its owners."

مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِشَاةٍ مَيْتَةٍ قَدْ أَلْقَاهَا أَهْلُهَا فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَلدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , passed by a she-camel that her owners had pushed out. He said, "Do you think it is easy for her owners to do this?" They said, "Yes." He said, "This world is easier for Allah the Almighty than this is for its people."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَرَّ بِسَخْلَةٍ جَرْبَاءَ قَدْ أَخْرَجَهَا أَهْلُهَا فَقَالَ أَتَرَوْنَ هَذِهِ هَيِّنَةً عَلَى أَهْلِهَا؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ لَلدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللهِ ﷻ مِنْ هَذِهِ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا

“I was riding with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he came across a dead lamb that had been thrown out.’ He said: ‘Don’t you think that this is worthless to its owners?’ It was said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, it is because it is worthless that they have thrown it out, - or words to that effect. He said: ‘By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, this world is more worthless to Allah than this is to its owners.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4111)

كُنْتُ فِي رَكْبٍ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺإِذْ مَرَّ بِسَخْلَةٍ مَيْتَةٍ مَنْبُوذَةٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَرَوْنَ هَذِهِ هَانَتْ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا؟ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مِنْ هَوَانِهَا أَلْقَوْهَا قَالَ فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمِّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَلدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ passed by a dead sheep and said, "What do you think about the humiliation of this sheep upon its owner?" They said, "O Messenger of Allah, it is a dead sheep." He said, "By Allah, the humiliation of this world is more insignificant to Allah than the humiliation of this sheep upon its owner."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَرَّ بِشَاةٍ مَيِّتَةٍ فَقَالَ «مَا تَرَوْنَ هَوَانَ هَذِهِ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا؟» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ شَاةٌ مَيِّتَةٌ قَالَ «فَوَاللهِ لَلدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا»

[AI] I am with the messenger of Allah ﷺ and his gaze fell upon an abandoned water skin. He said, "Do you see how insignificant this is to its owners?" They said, "Because of its worthlessness, they discarded it." He said, "By Him in whose hand is my soul, this world is more insignificant to Allah than this water skin is to its owners."

إِنِّي لَفِي الرَّكَبِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَتَى عَيْنُهُ عَلَى سَخْلَةٍ مَنْبُوذَةٍ أَلْقُوهَا فَقَالَ «أَتَرَوْنَ هَذِهِ هَانَتْ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا» ؟ قَالُوا مِنْ هَوَانِهَا أَلْقُوهَا قَالَ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لِلدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a dead donkey with his companions, and he said to them, "Do you see how this animal has become worthless to its owner?" They replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, this world is more insignificant to Allah than this animal is to its owner when they throw it away."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَرَّ هُوَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ بِسَخْلَةٍ مَيْتًا فَقَالَ لَهُمْ «هَلْ تَرَوْنَ هَذِهِ هَانَتْ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا؟» قَالُوا نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَلدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللَّهِ ﷻ مِنْ هَذِهِ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا حِينَ أَلْقَوْهَا»
