Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet ﷺ as saying “Locusts are counted along with what is caught in the sea (i.e., the game of the sea).”  

أبو داود:١٨٥٣ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ جَابَانَ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْجَرَادُ مِنْ صَيْدِ الْبَحْرِ

Ka’ab said “Locusts are counted along with the game of the sea.”
