The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily! 70,000 or 700,000 of my followers will enter Paradise altogether; so that the first and the last amongst them will enter at the same time, and their faces will be glittering like the bright full moon."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَيَدْخُلَنَّ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا أَوْ سَبْعُمِائَةِ أَلْفٍ لاَ يَدْخُلُ أَوَّلُهُمْ حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ آخِرُهُمْ وَجُوهُهُمْ عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The first group of people who will enter Paradise, will be glittering like the full moon and those who will follow them, will glitter like the most brilliant star in the sky. They will not urinate, relieve nature, spit, or have any nasal secretions. Their combs will be of gold, and their sweat will smell like musk. The aloes-wood will be used in their centers. Their wives will be houris. All of them will look alike and will resemble their father Adam (in stature), sixty cubits tall."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ أَوَّلَ زُمْرَةٍ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ عَلَى أَشَدِّ كَوْكَبٍ دُرِّيٍّ فِي السَّمَاءِ إِضَاءَةً لاَ يَبُولُونَ وَلاَ يَتَغَوَّطُونَ وَلاَ يَتْفِلُونَ وَلاَ يَمْتَخِطُونَ أَمْشَاطُهُمُ الذَّهَبُ وَرَشْحُهُمُ الْمِسْكُ وَمَجَامِرُهُمُ الأَلُوَّةُ الأَنْجُوجُ عُودُ الطِّيبِ وَأَزْوَاجُهُمُ الْحُورُ الْعِينُ عَلَى خَلْقِ رَجُلٍ وَاحِدٍ عَلَى صُورَةِ أَبِيهِمْ آدَمَ سِتُّونَ ذِرَاعًا فِي السَّمَاءِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Nations were displayed before me; one or two prophets would pass by along with a few followers. A prophet would pass by accompanied by nobody. Then a big crowd of people passed in front of me and I asked, Who are they Are they my followers?" It was said, 'No. It is Moses and his followers It was said to me, 'Look at the horizon.'' Behold! There was a multitude of people filling the horizon. Then it was said to me, 'Look there and there about the stretching sky! Behold! There was a multitude filling the horizon,' It was said to me, 'This is your nation out of whom seventy thousand shall enter Paradise without reckoning.' "Then the Prophet ﷺ entered his house without telling his companions who they (the 70,000) were. So the people started talking about the issue and said, "It is we who have believed in Allah and followed His Apostle; therefore those people are either ourselves or our children who are born m the Islamic era, for we were born in the Pre-lslamic Period of Ignorance.'' When the Prophet ﷺ heard of that, he came out and said. "Those people are those who do not treat themselves with Ruqya, nor do they believe in bad or good omen (from birds etc.) nor do they get themselves branded (Cauterized). but they put their trust (only) in their Lord " On that 'Ukasha bin Muhsin said. "Am I one of them, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ?' The Prophet ﷺ said, "Yes." Then another person got up and said, "Am I one of them?" The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Ukasha has anticipated you."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عُرِضَتْ عَلَىَّ الأُمَمُ فَجَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ وَالنَّبِيَّانِ يَمُرُّونَ مَعَهُمُ الرَّهْطُ وَالنَّبِيُّ لَيْسَ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ حَتَّى رُفِعَ لِي سَوَادٌ عَظِيمٌ قُلْتُ مَا هَذَا أُمَّتِي هَذِهِ قِيلَ هَذَا مُوسَى وَقَوْمُهُ قِيلَ انْظُرْ إِلَى الأُفُقِ فَإِذَا سَوَادٌ يَمْلأُ الأُفُقَ ثُمَّ قِيلَ لِي انْظُرْ هَا هُنَا وَهَا هُنَا فِي آفَاقِ السَّمَاءِ فَإِذَا سَوَادٌ قَدْ مَلأَ الأُفُقَ قِيلَ هَذِهِ أُمَّتُكَ وَيَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ هَؤُلاَءِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ وَلَمْ يُبَيِّنْ لَهُمْ فَأَفَاضَ الْقَوْمُ وَقَالُوا نَحْنُ الَّذِينَ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَاتَّبَعْنَا رَسُولَهُ فَنَحْنُ هُمْ أَوْ أَوْلاَدُنَا الَّذِينَ وُلِدُوا فِي الإِسْلاَمِ فَإِنَّا وُلِدْنَا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَبَلَغَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَخَرَجَ فَقَالَ هُمُ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلاَ يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَلاَ يَكْتَوُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ فَقَالَ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ أَمِنْهُمْ أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَقَامَ آخَرُ فَقَالَ أَمِنْهُمْ أَنَا قَالَ سَبَقَكَ عُكَّاشَةُ

The Prophet ﷺ once came out to us and said, "Some nations were displayed before me. A prophet would pass in front of me with one man, and another with two men, and another with a group of people. and another with nobody with him. Then I saw a great crowd covering the horizon and I wished that they were my followers, but it was said to me, 'This is Moses and his followers.' Then it was said to me, 'Look'' I looked and saw a big gathering with a large number of people covering the horizon. It was said, "Look this way and that way.' So I saw a big crowd covering the horizon. Then it was said to me, "These are your followers, and among them there are 70,000 who will enter Paradise without (being asked about their) accounts. " Then the people dispersed and the Prophet ﷺ did not tell who those 70,000 were. So the companions of the Prophet ﷺ started talking about that and some of them said, "As regards us, we were born in the era of heathenism, but then we believed in Allah and His Apostle . We think however, that these (70,000) are our offspring." That talk reached the Prophet ﷺ who said, "These (70,000) are the people who do not draw an evil omen from (birds) and do not get treated by branding themselves and do not treat with Ruqya, but put their trust (only) in their Lord." then 'Ukasha bin Muhsin got up and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Am I one of those (70,000)?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Yes." Then another person got up and said, "Am I one of them?" The Prophet ﷺ said, " 'Ukasha has anticipated you."

خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَوْمًا فَقَالَ عُرِضَتْ عَلَىَّ الأُمَمُ فَجَعَلَ يَمُرُّ النَّبِيُّ مَعَهُ الرَّجُلُ وَالنَّبِيُّ مَعَهُ الرَّجُلاَنِ وَالنَّبِيُّ مَعَهُ الرَّهْطُ وَالنَّبِيُّ لَيْسَ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ وَرَأَيْتُ سَوَادًا كَثِيرًا سَدَّ الأُفُقَ فَرَجَوْتُ أَنْ يَكُونَ أُمَّتِي فَقِيلَ هَذَا مُوسَى وَقَوْمُهُ ثُمَّ قِيلَ لِي انْظُرْ فَرَأَيْتُ سَوَادًا كَثِيرًا سَدَّ الأُفُقَ فَقِيلَ لِي انْظُرْ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا فَرَأَيْتُ سَوَادًا كَثِيرًا سَدَّ الأُفُقَ فَقِيلَ هَؤُلاَءِ أُمَّتُكَ وَمَعَ هَؤُلاَءِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ فَتَفَرَّقَ النَّاسُ وَلَمْ يُبَيَّنْ لَهُمْ فَتَذَاكَرَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالُوا أَمَّا نَحْنُ فَوُلِدْنَا فِي الشِّرْكِ وَلَكِنَّا آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَلَكِنْ هَؤُلاَءِ هُمْ أَبْنَاؤُنَا فَبَلَغَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ هُمُ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَلاَ يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلاَ يَكْتَوُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ فَقَالَ أَمِنْهُمْ أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَقَامَ آخَرُ فَقَالَ أَمِنْهُمْ أَنَا فَقَالَ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying "From among my followers, a group (o 70,000) will enter Paradise without being asked for their accounts, Their faces will be shining like the moon." 'Ukasha bin Muhsin Al-Asadi got up, lifting his covering sheet and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ Invoke Allah for me that He may include me with them." The Prophet ﷺ said! "O Allah! Make him from them." Then another man from Al-Ansar got up and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Invoke Allah for me that He may include me with them." On that Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "'Ukasha has anticipated you."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي زُمْرَةٌ هِيَ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا تُضِيءُ وُجُوهُهُمْ إِضَاءَةَ الْقَمَرِ فَقَامَ عُكَاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ الأَسَدِيُّ يَرْفَعُ نَمِرَةً عَلَيْهِ قَالَ ادْعُ اللَّهَ لِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ سَبَقَكَ عُكَاشَةُ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seventy thousand people of my followers will enter Paradise without accounts, and they are those who do not practice Ar-Ruqya and do not see an evil omen in things, and put their trust in their Lord.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ هُمُ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلاَ يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The people were displayed in front of me and I saw one prophet passing by with a large group of his followers, and another prophet passing by with only a small group of people, and another prophet passing by with only ten (persons), and another prophet passing by with only five (persons), and another prophet passed by alone. And then I looked and saw a large multitude of people, so I asked Gabriel, "Are these people my followers?' He said, 'No, but look towards the horizon.' I looked and saw a very large multitude of people. Gabriel said. 'Those are your followers, and those are seventy thousand (persons) in front of them who will neither have any reckoning of their accounts nor will receive any punishment.' I asked, 'Why?' He said, 'For they used not to treat themselves with branding (cauterization) nor with Ruqya (get oneself treated by the recitation of some Verses of the Qur'an) and not to see evil omen in things, and they used to put their trust (only) in their Lord." On hearing that, 'Ukasha bin Mihsan got up and said (to the Prophet), "Invoke Allah to make me one of them." The Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah, make him one of them." Then another man got up and said (to the Prophet), "Invoke Allah to make me one of them." The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Ukasha has preceded you."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عُرِضَتْ عَلَىَّ الأُمَمُ فَأَخَذَ النَّبِيُّ يَمُرُّ مَعَهُ الأُمَّةُ وَالنَّبِيُّ يَمُرُّ مَعَهُ النَّفَرُ وَالنَّبِيُّ يَمُرُّ مَعَهُ الْعَشَرَةُ وَالنَّبِيُّ يَمُرُّ مَعَهُ الْخَمْسَةُ وَالنَّبِيُّ يَمُرُّ وَحْدَهُ فَنَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا سَوَادٌ كَثِيرٌ قُلْتُ يَا جِبْرِيلُ هَؤُلاَءِ أُمَّتِي قَالَ لاَ وَلَكِنِ انْظُرْ إِلَى الأُفُقِ فَنَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا سَوَادٌ كَثِيرٌ قَالَ هَؤُلاَءِ أُمَّتُكَ وَهَؤُلاَءِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا قُدَّامَهُمْ لاَ حِسَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ عَذَابَ قُلْتُ وَلِمَ قَالَ كَانُوا لاَ يَكْتَوُونَ وَلاَ يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلاَ يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ فَقَالَ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ قَالَ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "From my followers there will enter Paradise a crowd, seventy thousand in number, whose faces will glitter as the moon does when it is full." On hearing that, 'Ukasha bin Mihsan Al-Asdi got up, lifting his covering sheet, and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Invoke Allah that He may make me one of them." The Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah, make him one of them." Another man from the Ansar got up and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Invoke Allah to make me one of them. "The Prophet ﷺ said (to him), "'Ukasha has preceded you."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ يَدْخُلُ مِنْ أُمَّتِي زُمْرَةٌ هُمْ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا تُضِيءُ وُجُوهُهُمْ إِضَاءَةَ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ وَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ الأَسَدِيُّ يَرْفَعُ نَمِرَةً عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ سَبَقَكَ عُكَّاشَةُ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Seventy-thousand or seven-hundred thousand of my followers (the narrator is in doubt as to the correct number) will enter Paradise holding each other till the first and the last of them enter Paradise at the same time, and their faces will have a glitter like that of the moon at night when it is full."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا أَوْ سَبْعُمِائَةِ أَلْفٍ شَكَّ فِي أَحَدِهِمَا مُتَمَاسِكِينَ آخِذٌ بَعْضُهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ أَوَّلُهُمْ وَآخِرُهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ وَوُجُوهُهُمْ عَلَى ضَوْءِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seventy thousand or seven hundred thousand of my followers will enter Paradise. (Abu Hazim, the sub-narrator, is not sure as to which of the two numbers is correct.) They will be holding on to each other, the first will not entering the last one does, their faces like the moon on a full moon night."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَوْ سَبْعُمِائَةِ أَلْفٍ لاَ يَدْرِي أَبُو حَازِمٍ أَيُّهُمَا قَالَ مُتَمَاسِكُونَ آخِذٌ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا لاَ يَدْخُلُ أَوَّلُهُمْ حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ آخِرُهُمْ وُجُوهُهُمْ عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ

Seventy thousand (persons) of my Ummah would enter Paradise without rendering an account. Upon this a person said: Messenger of Allah. pray to Allah that He make me one of them. He (the Holy Prophet) said: O Allah! make him one of them. Then another stood up and said: Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah that He make me one of them. He (the Holy Prophet) said: 'Ukkasha has preceded you in this matter.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ يَدْخُلُ مِنْ أُمَّتِي الْجَنَّةَ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَامَ آخَرُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ

I heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: A group of my Ummah consisting of seventy thousand persons would enter Paradise; their faces would be as bright as the brightness of the full moon. Abd Huraira said: 'Ukkasha b. Mihsan al-Asadi then stood up wrapping the blanket around him and said: Messenger of Allah, supplicate (before) Allah that He should make me one among them. Upon this the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: O Allah, make him among them. Then stood up a man from the Ansa and said: Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah that He should make me one among them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Ukkasha has preceded you in this matter.

قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ يَدْخُلُ مِنْ أُمَّتِي زُمْرَةٌ هُمْ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا تُضِيءُ وُجُوهُهُمْ إِضَاءَةَ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ الأَسَدِيُّ يَرْفَعُ نَمِرَةً عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Seventy thousand (persons) would enter Paradise as one group and among them (there would be people) whom faces would be bright like the moon.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا زُمْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ مِنْهُمْ عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ

Seventy thousand people of my Ummah would be admitted into Paradise without rendering any account. They (the companions) said: Who would be of those (fortunate persons)? He (the Holy Prophet) said: Those who do not cauterise and practise charm, but repose trust in their Lord, 'Ukkasha then stood up and said: Supplicate (before) Allah that He should make me one among them. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Thou art one among them He (the narrator) said: A man stood up and said: Apostle of Allah, supplicate (before) Allah that He should make me one among them. He (the Prophet said: 'Ukkasha has preceded you (in this matter).

نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ قَالُوا وَمَنْ هُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ هُمُ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَكْتَوُونَ وَلاَ يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ فَقَالَ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ أَنْتَ مِنْهُمْ قَالَ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ

Verily the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Seventy thousand men of my Ummah would enter Paradise without rendering account. They (the companions of the Holy Prophet) said: Who would be those, Messenger of Allah? He (the Holy Prophet) said: They would be those who neither practise charm, not take omens, nor do they cauterise, but they repose their trust in their Lord.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ قَالُوا مَنْ هُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ هُمُ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلاَ يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَلاَ يَكْتَوُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ

Seventy thousand persons or seven hundred thousand persons (Abu Hazim does not remember the exact number) would enter Paradise holding and supporting one another, and the first among them would not enter till the last among them would enter (therein) ; (they would enter simultaneously) and their faces would be bright like the full moon.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَيَدْخُلَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا أَوْ سَبْعُمِائَةِ أَلْفٍ لاَ يَدْرِي أَبُو حَازِمٍ أَيَّهُمَا قَالَ مُتَمَاسِكُونَ آخِذٌ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا لاَ يَدْخُلُ أَوَّلُهُمْ حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ آخِرُهُمْ وُجُوهُهُمْ عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ

[AI] I was with Said ibn Jubair, and he said, "Which of you saw the shooting star last night?" I said, "I did." Then I said, "I was not in prayer, but I had been stung." He said, "Then what did you do?" I said, "I sought ruqyah." He said, "What made you do that?" I said, "A hadith that al-Shabi told us." He said, "And what did al-Shabi tell you?" I said, "He narrated to us from Buraida ibn Husayb al-Aslami that he said, 'There is no ruqyah except for an evil eye or a sting.'" He said, "The one who confines himself to what he heard has done well. But Ibn Abbas narrated to us from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "The nations were shown to me, and I saw a prophet with a small group, and a prophet with one or two men, and a prophet with no one with him. Then a great multitude was raised up for me, and I thought that they were my Ummah. But it was said to me, 'This is Moses ﷺ and his people; rather, look at the horizon.' So I looked, and there was a great multitude. Then it was said to me, 'Look at the other horizon,' and there was a great multitude. Then it was said to me, 'This is your Ummah, and with them are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning and without punishment.'"" 

Then he got up and entered his house, and the people began discussing those who would enter Paradise without reckoning and without punishment. Some of them said, "Perhaps they are those who accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." Others said, "Perhaps they are those who were born in Islam and did not associate anything with Allah ﷻ." And they mentioned other things. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to them and said, "What are you discussing?" They informed him, and he said, "They are those who do not perform ruqyah, do not ask for ruqyah, do not seek omens, and they put their trust in their Lord." Then Ukkashah ibn Mihsan stood up and said, "Pray to Allah ﷻ to make me one of them." He said, "You are one of them." Then another man stood up and said, "Pray to Allah ﷻ to make me one of them." He said, "Ukkashah has preceded you in that."

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، فَقَالَ: أَيُّكُمْ رَأَى الْكَوْكَبَ الَّذِي انْقَضَّ الْبَارِحَةَ؟ قُلْتُ: أَنَا. ثُمَّ قُلْتُ: أَمَا إِنِّي لَمْ أَكُنْ فِي صَلاَةٍ، وَلَكِنِّي لُدِغْتُ. قَالَ: فَمَاذَا صَنَعْتَ؟ قُلْتُ: اسْتَرْقَيْتُ. قَالَ: فَمَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ؟ قُلْتُ: حَدِيثٌ حَدَّثَنَاهُ الشَّعْبِيُّ. فَقَالَ: وَمَا حَدَّثَكُمُ الشَّعْبِيُّ؟ قُلْتُ: حَدَّثَنَا عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ بْنِ حُصَيْبٍ الأَسْلَمِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: لاَ رُقْيَةَ إِلاَّ مِنْ عَيْنٍ أَوْ حُمَةٍ. فَقَالَ: قَدْ أَحْسَنَ مَنِ انْتَهَى إِلَى مَا سَمِعَ، 

وَلَكِنْ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «عُرِضَتْ عَلَىَّ الأُمَمُ، فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ وَمَعَهُ الرُّهَيْطُ، وَالنَّبِيَّ وَمَعَهُ الرَّجُلُ وَالرَّجُلاَنِ، وَالنَّبِيَّ لَيْسَ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ، إِذْ رُفِعَ لِي سَوَادٌ عَظِيمٌ، فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُمْ أُمَّتِي، فَقِيلَ لِي: هَذَا مُوسَى ﷺ وَقَوْمُهُ، وَلَكِنِ انْظُرْ إِلَى الأُفُقِ. فَنَظَرْتُ، فَإِذَا سَوَادٌ عَظِيمٌ، فَقِيلَ لِي: انْظُرْ إِلَى الأُفُقِ الآخَرِ، فَإِذَا سَوَادٌ عَظِيمٌ، فَقِيلَ لِي: هَذِهِ أُمَّتُكَ، وَمَعَهُمْ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ وَلاَ عَذَابٍ». 

ثُمَّ نَهَضَ فَدَخَلَ مَنْزِلَهُ، فَخَاضَ النَّاسُ فِي أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ وَلاَ عَذَابٍ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: فَلَعَلَّهُمُ الَّذِينَ صَحِبُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ، وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: فَلَعَلَّهُمُ الَّذِينَ وُلِدُوا فِي الإِسْلاَمِ وَلَمْ يُشْرِكُوا بِاللَّهِ، وَذَكَرُوا أَشْيَاءَ. فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: «مَا الَّذِي تَخُوضُونَ فِيهِ؟» فَأَخْبَرُوهُ، فَقَالَ: «هُمُ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَرْقُونَ وَلاَ يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلاَ يَتَطَيَّرُونَ، وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ». فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ، فَقَالَ: ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ. فَقَالَ: «أَنْتَ مِنْهُمْ». ثُمَّ قَامَ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ، فَقَالَ: ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ. فَقَالَ: «سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ».

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Seventy thousand from my Ummah will enter Paradise without any reckoning." Ukasha said, "O Messenger of Allah, supplicate to Allah to include me among them." The Prophet ﷺ supplicated, "O Allah, make him among them." Another person then requested the Prophet ﷺ to supplicate for him, but the Prophet ﷺ said, "Ukasha has surpassed you in this."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا مِنْ أُمَّتِي بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ» فَقَالَ عُكَّاشَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَدَعَا فَقَالَ آخَرُ ادْعُ اللَّهَ لِي فَقَالَ «سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, the first group from my Ummah to enter Paradise will be like the full moon on a clear night, then those who follow them will be like the brightest star in the sky." Ukashah stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to make me among them." The Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah, make him among them." Then another man stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to make me among them." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Ukashah has surpassed you in that."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ أَوَّلَ زُمْرَةٍ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ عَلَى أَحْسَنِ كَوْكَبٍ إِضَاءَةً فِي السَّمَاءِ» فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ «اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ» ثُمَّ قَامَ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ «سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ»

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿI have been granted seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without being brought to account; their faces will be like the moon on the night when it is full and their hearts will be as the heart of one man. I asked my Lord, may He glorified and exalted, for more and He gave me more, with each one another seventy thousand.ʿ Abu Bakr as-Siddeeq said: I thought that that referred to the people living in towns and included some of those living on the edge of the wilderness

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُعْطِيتُ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ وُجُوهُهُمْ كَالْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ وَقُلُوبُهُمْ عَلَى قَلْبِ رَجُلٍ وَاحِدٍ فَاسْتَزَدْتُ رَبِّي ﷻ فَزَادَنِي مَعَ كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَرَأَيْتُ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ آتٍ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْقُرَى وَمُصِيبٌ مِنْ حَافَّاتِ الْبَوَادِي

[AI] Which of you saw the passing comet last night? I said, "Me," then I said, "But I wasn't in prayer, I was bitten by a scorpion." He said, "And how did it happen?" I said, "I was stung." He asked, "What made you do that?" So I said, "A hadith that Al-Sha'bi narrated from Buraydah Al-Aslami, who said, 'There is no ruqyah (incantation) except from an evil eye or a scorpion sting.'" Sa'id, meaning Ibn Jubayr, said, "The one who reaches what he heard has done well." Then he said, "Ibn 'Abbas narrated to us from the Prophet ﷺ who said, 'The nations were shown to me, and I saw a prophet with a small group and a prophet with one or two individuals, and a prophet with no one with him. Then a great multitude was raised for me, so I said, 'This is my nation.' It was said, 'This is Musa and his nation. But look to the horizon.' So I looked and saw a great multitude. Then it was said to me, 'Look to the other side.' So I looked and saw a great multitude. It was said, 'This is your nation, and with them are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment.' Then the Prophet ﷺ rose and entered, and the people began to discuss the matter. They said, 'Who are these people who will enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment?' Some of them said, 'Perhaps they are those who accompanied the Prophet ﷺ .' Others said, 'Perhaps they are those who were born in Islam and never associated anything with Allah, and they mentioned some other things.' Then the Prophet ﷺ came out to them and said, 'What is it that you were discussing?' So they told him what they had said, and he said, 'They are those who do not ask for ruqyah or amulets, and they do not cauterize themselves or seek omens, rather they put their trust in their Lord.' Mu'adh bin Jabal Al-Ansari stood up and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, am I one of them?' He said, 'Yes.' Then another man stood up and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, am I one of them?' He said, 'Ukkashah got ahead of you.'"

أَيُّكُمْ رَأَى الْكَوْكَبَ الَّذِي انْقَضَّ الْبَارِحَةَ؟ قُلْتُ أَنَا ثُمَّ قُلْتُ أَمَا إِنِّي لَمْ أَكُنْ فِي صَلاةٍ وَلَكِنِّي لُدِغْتُقَالَ وَكَيْفَ فَعَلْتَ؟ قُلْتُ اسْتَرْقَيْتُ قَالَ وَمَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ؟ قُلْتُ حَدِيثٌ حَدَّثَنَاهُ الشَّعْبِيُّ عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا رُقْيَةَ إِلا مِنْ عَيْنٍ أَوْ حُمَةٍ فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جُبَيْرٍ قَدْ أَحْسَنَ مَنِ انْتَهَى إِلَى مَا سَمِعَ ثُمَّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ الْأُمَمُ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ وَمَعَهُ الرَّهْطَ وَالنَّبِيَّ وَمَعَهُ الرَّجُلَ وَالرَّجُلَيْنِ وَالنَّبِيَّ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ إِذْ رُفِعَ لِي سَوَادٌ عَظِيمٌ فَقُلْتُ هَذِهِ أُمَّتِي فَقِيلَ هَذَا مُوسَى وَقَوْمُهُ وَلَكِنِ انْظُرْ إِلَى الْأُفُقِ فَإِذَا سَوَادٌ عَظِيمٌ ثُمَّ قِيلَ لِي انْظُرْ إِلَى هَذَا الْجَانِبِ الْآخَرِ فَإِذَا سَوَادٌ عَظِيمٌ فَقِيلَ هَذِهِ أُمَّتُكَ وَمَعَهُمْ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ وَلا عَذَابٍ ثُمَّ نَهَضَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَدَخَلَ فَخَاضَ الْقَوْمُ فِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالُوا مَنْ هَؤُلاءِ الَّذِينَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ وَلا عَذَابٍ؟ فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمُ الَّذِينَ صَحِبُوا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمُ الَّذِينَ وُلِدُوا فِي الْإِسْلامِ وَلَمْ يُشْرِكُوا بِاللهِ شَيْئًا قَطُّ وَذَكَرُوا أَشْيَاءَ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ تَخُوضُونَ فِيهِ؟ فَأَخْبَرُوهُ بِمَقَالَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ هُمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَكْتَوُونَ وَلا يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلا يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ فَقَامَعُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ فَقَالَ أَنَا مِنْهُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَ أَنْتَ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَامَ الْآخَرُ فَقَالَ أَنَا مِنْهُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seventy thousand of my followers will enter Paradise without reckoning." I asked, "Who are they, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "They are those who do not practice Ruqyah, nor do they believe in bad omens, nor do they get themselves cauterized, and they put their trust in their Lord."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هُمْ؟ فَقَالَ هُمِ الَّذِينَ لَا يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلا يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَلا يَعْتَافُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ

[AI] Most of us were talking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one night, and then we went to him the next morning. He said, "The prophets were presented to me last night with their nations. The Prophet ﷺ walked by with a group of people, then the Prophet ﷺ walked by with a smaller group, and then the Prophet ﷺ walked by alone, and there was no one with him until Musa walked by with a group from the children of Israel. They amazed me so I asked, 'Who are these?'" I was told, "These are your nation, O Messenger of Allah, and these are the children of Israel." I said, "Where is my nation?" I was told, "Look to your right." So I looked and the horizon was filled with the faces of men. Then I was told, "Look to your left." So I looked and the horizon was filled with the faces of men. Then I was asked, "Are you pleased?" I said, "I am pleased, O Lord, I am pleased, O Lord." It was said to me, "Among these are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without being brought to account." The Prophet ﷺ said, "I wish that you, O Abu Umaamah and your mother, may be among them. If you can, be one of the seventy thousand. If you cannot, then be one of the people of the horizon. And if you cannot, then be one of the people of the outskirts." I have seen people who argue with one another, then 'Ukkashah bin Mihsan stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, ask Allah to make me one of the seventy thousand." So he prayed for him. Then another man stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, ask Allah to make me one of them." He said, "Ukkashah has beaten you to it." Then we asked, "Who are these seventy thousand people?" He said, "They are those who neither seek rukiyah (charms) nor do they believe in bad omens and they put their trust in their Lord."

أَكْثَرْنَا الْحَدِيثَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ ثُمَّ غَدَوْنَا إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ اللَّيْلَةَ بِأُمَمِهَا فَجَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ يَمُرُّ وَمَعَهُ الثَّلَاثَةُ وَالنَّبِيُّ وَمَعَهُ الْعِصَابَةُ وَالنَّبِيُّ وَمَعَهُ النَّفَرُ وَالنَّبِيُّ لَيْسَ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ حَتَّى مَرَّ عَلَيَّ مُوسَى مَعَهُ كَبْكَبَةٌ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فَأَعْجَبُونِي فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ؟ فَقِيلَ لِي هَذَا أَخُوكَ مُوسَى مَعَهُ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ قَالَ قُلْتُ فَأَيْنَ أُمَّتِي؟ فَقِيلَ لِيَ انْظُرْ عَنْ يَمِينِكَ فَنَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا الظِّرَابُ قَدْ سُدَّ بِوُجُوهِ الرِّجَالِ ثُمَّ قِيلَ لِيَ انْظُرْ عَنْ يَسَارِكَ فَنَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا الْأُفُقُ قَدْ سُدَّ بِوُجُوهِ الرِّجَالِ فَقِيلَ لِي أَرَضِيتَ؟ فَقُلْتُ رَضِيتُ يَا رَبِّ رَضِيتُ يَا رَبِّ قَالَ فَقِيلَ لِي إِنَّ مَعَ هَؤُلَاءِ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِدًا لَكُمْ أَبِيوَأُمِّي إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ تَكُونُوا مِنَ السَّبْعِينَ الْأَلْفِ فَافْعَلُوا فَإِنْ قَصَّرْتُمْ فَكُونُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الظِّرَابِ فَإِنْ قَصَّرْتُمْ فَكُونُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأُفُقِ فَإِنِّي قَدْ رَأَيْتُ ثَمَّ نَاسًا يَتَهَاوَشُونَ فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ فَقَالَ ادْعُ اللهَ لِي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنَ السَّبْعِينَ فَدَعَا لَهُ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَقَالَ ادْعُ اللهَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ قَدْ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ قَالَ ثُمَّ تَحَدَّثْنَا فَقُلْنَا مَنْ تَرَوْنَ هَؤُلَاءِ السَّبْعُونَ الْأَلْفُ؟ قَوْمٌ وُلِدُوا فِي الْإِسْلَامِ لَمْ يُشْرِكُوا بِاللهِ شَيْئًا حَتَّى مَاتُوا؟ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ هُمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَكْتَوُونَ وَلَا يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ

[AI] That the Messenger of Allahﷺ said: "I was shown the nations during the night vision and it overwhelmed me to see my nation (followers) so numerous, filling the plains and mountains. It was said to me that among them there are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without being held accountable. They are the ones who do not practice ruqyah (seeking remedy through supernatural means), nor do they believe in omens, nor do they cauterize themselves. Rather, they rely solely on their Lord." Ukashah said, "O Messenger of Allah, ask Allah to include me among them." So the Messenger of Allahﷺ supplicated for him. Then another man stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, ask Allah to include me among them." He replied, "Ukashah has preceded you to it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أُرِيَ الْأُمَمَ بِالْمَوْسِمِ فَرَاثَتْ عَلَيْهِ أُمَّتُهُ قَالَ فَأُرِيتُ أُمَّتِي فَأَعْجَبَنِي كَثْرَتُهُمْ قَدْ مَلَئُوا السَّهْلَ وَالْجَبَلَ فَقِيلَ لِي إِنَّ مَعَ هَؤُلَاءِ سَبْعونَ أَلْفًا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ هُمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَكْتَوُونَ وَلَا يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ فَقَالَ عُكَّاشَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَدَعَا لَهُ ثُمَّ قَامَ يَعْنِي آخَرُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مَنَهُمْ قَالَ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The nations were presented to me with their deeds. My Ummah (nation) overcame them (in number) and amazed me with their appearance. They filled the plains and mountains. Hasan said: I asked, 'O Muhammad, are you satisfied?' I said, 'Yes.' He said: 'Indeed, you have with these seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without being held accountable. They are those who do not practice cautery (branding), do not seek omens, and do not apply cupping (medical treatment with suction cups). They rely on their Lord.' 'Ukkashah stood and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, ask Allah to make me one of them.' He supplicated for him. Then another one stood and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, ask Allah to make me one of them.' He said: 'Ukkashah has preceded you in that.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ الْأُمَمُ بِالْمَوْسِمِ فَرَاثَتْ عَلَيَّ أُمَّتِي قَالَ فَأَرَيْتُهُمْ فَأَعْجَبَتْنِي كَثْرَتُهُمْ وَهَيْئَتُهُمْ قَدْ مَلَئُوا السَّهْلَ وَالْجَبَلَ قَالَ حَسَنٌ فَقَالَ أَرَضِيتَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ؟ فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَإِنَّ لَكَ مَعَ هَؤُلَاءِ قَالَ عَفَّانُ وَحَسَنٌ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنَّ مَعَ هَؤُلَاءِ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ وَهُمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَلَا يَكْتَوُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَدَعَا لَهُ ثُمَّ قَامَ آخَرُ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ

The (members) of the first group to get into Paradise would have their faces as bright as full moon during the night, and the next to this group would have their faces as bright as the shining stars in the sky, and every person would have two wives and the marrow of their shanks would glimmer beneath the flesh and there would be none without a wife in Paradise. إِمَّا تَفَاخَرُوا وَإِمَّا تَذَاكَرُوا الرِّجَالُ أَكْثَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَمِ النِّسَاءُ؟ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ أَوَ لَمْ يَقُلْ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ إِنَّ أَوَّلَ زُمْرَةٍ تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا عَلَى أَضْوَإِ كَوْكَبٍ دُرِّيٍّ فِي السَّمَاءِ لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ زَوْجَتَانِ ثِنْتَانِ يُرَى مُخُّ سَاقِهِمَا مِنْ وَرَاءِ اللَّحْمِ وَمَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَعْزَبُ

“The first group to enter Paradise will enter with (faces) like the moon in the night when it is full. Then those who follow them will be shining with a light brighter than the brightest star in the sky. They will not urinate or defecate, or blow their noses or spit. Their combs will be of gold, their sweat will be musk, their braziers (receptacle for holding live coals for burning incense) will be pearls and their wives will be houris. Their form will be that of a single man, the form of their father Adam, sixty forearm’s length tall.’” Another chain reports the same. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4333)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ أَوَّلَ زُمْرَةٍ تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ عَلَى أَشَدِّ ضَوْءِ كَوْكَبٍ دُرِّيٍّ فِي السَّمَاءِ إِضَاءَةً لَا يَبُولُونَ وَلَا يَتَغَوَّطُونَ وَلَا يَتْفُلُونَ وَلَا يَمْتَخِطُونَ أَمْشَاطُهُمُ الذَّهَبُ وَرَشْحُهُمُ الْمِسْكُ وَمَجَامِرُهُمُ الْأَلُوَّةُ وَأَزْوَاجُهُمُ الْحُورُ الْعِينُأَخْلَاقُهُمْ عَلَى خَلْقِ رَجُلٍ وَاحِدٍ عَلَى صُورَةِ أَبِيهِمْ آدَمَ فِي طُولِ سِتِّينَ ذِرَاعًا

[AI] From Muhammad, the men and women argued about who is more in abundance in Paradise. Abu Huraira said that Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ said, "The first to enter Paradise will be like the full moon on a clear night, then those who follow them will be like the brightest star in the sky. Each man among them will have two wives, and the marrow of their legs will be visible through the flesh. And there will be no celibate in Paradise."

عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ اخْتَصَمَ الرِّجَالُ وَالنِّسَاءُ أَيُّهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَكْثَرُ؟ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ أَوَّلُ مَنْ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِثْلُ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ عَلَى أَضْوَإِ كَوْكَبٍ دُرِّيٍّ لِكُلِّ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ زَوْجَتَانِ اثْنَتَانِ يُرَى مُخُّ سَاقِهِمَا مِنْ وَرَاءِ اللَّحْمِ وَمَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَعْزَبُ

The first group of my Ummah to get into Paradise would be like a full moon in the night. Then those who would be next to them; they would be like the most significantly glittering stars in regard to brightness, then after them (others) in ranks. They would neither void excrement, nor pass water, nor suffer from catarrh, nor would they spit. And their combs would be made of gold, and the fuel of their braziers would be aloes and their sweat would be musk and their form would be the form of one single person according to the length of their father sixty cubits tall. [AI] "Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ is the first group from my nation who will enter Paradise in the likeness of the moon on a full moonlit night. The group that follows them will have the brightness of the most radiant star in the sky."

أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ أَوَّلُ زُمْرَةٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا عَلَى أَشَدِّ نَجْمٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ إِضَاءَةً

[AI] I heard Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ saying, "Seventy thousand people from my nation will enter paradise without being held accountable." A man then said, "Pray to Allah to make me one of them." Allah replied, "O Allah, make him one of them." Then another man stood up and said, "Pray to Allah to make me one of them." Allah responded, "Ukkashah has preceded you in this."

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يَقُولُ يَدْخُلُ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا مِنْ أُمَّتِي الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فقال اللهُمْ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَامَ آخَرُ فَقَالَ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Seventy thousand people from my Ummah (followers) will enter Paradise without being held to account." Then 'Ukkashah bin Mihsan said: "O Messenger of Allah, supplicate to Allah to make me among them." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allahumma aij'alhu minhum (O Allah, make him among them)." Then another person said: "O Messenger of Allah, supplicate to Allah to make me among them." He ﷺ said: "Sabaqaka biha 'Ukkashah (Ukkashah has beaten you to it)."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ فَقَالَ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ ادْعُ اللهَ لِي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ آخَرُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ

[AI] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said, "I asked my Lord and He promised me that He will admit seventy thousand from my Ummah (nation) into Paradise without reckoning, like the full moon on a clear night. Then I asked for more and He increased them by another seventy thousand for every thousand. So I said, 'O Lord, what about those who are from the Bedouin?' He replied, 'Then the number will be completed for you from the Bedouin.'"

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ رَبِّي ﷻ فَوَعَدَنِي أَنْ يُدْخِلَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةِ الْبَدْرِ فَاسْتَزَدْتُ فَزَادَنِي مَعَ كُلِّ أَلْفٍ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا فَقُلْتُ أَيْ رَبِّ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ هَؤُلَاءِ مُهَاجِرِي أُمَّتِي قَالَ إِذَنْ أُكْمِلَهُمْ لَكَ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ

I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying "From among my followers, a group (o 70,000) will enter Paradise without being asked for their accounts, Their faces will be shining like the moon." 'Ukasha bin Muhsin Al-Asadi got up, lifting his covering sheet and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ Invoke Allah for me that He may include me with them." The Prophet ﷺ said! "O Allah! Make him from them." Then another man from Al-Ansar got up and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Invoke Allah for me that He may include me with them." On that Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "'Ukasha has anticipated you." (Using translation from Bukhārī 5811)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي زُمْرَةٌ هُمْ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا تُضِيءُ وُجُوهُهُمْ إِضَاءَةَ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ يَرْفَعُ نَمِرَةً عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ سَبَقَكَ عُكَّاشَةُ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "We (Muslims) are the last in the world, but will be foremost on the Day of Resurrection." (Using translation from Bukhārī 6624)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ نَحْنُ الْآخِرُونَ السَّابِقُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَأَوَّلُ زُمْرَةٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ صُورَةُ كُلِّ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ كَأَشَدِّ ضَوْءِ نَجْمٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ ثُمَّ هُمْ مَنَازِلُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seventy thousand people of my followers will enter Paradise without accounts, and they are those who do not practice Ar-Ruqya and do not see an evil omen in things, and put their trust in their Lord. (Using translation from Bukhārī 6472)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ لَا يَكْتَوُونَ وَلَا يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ قَالَ فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ أَنْتَ مِنْهُمْ قَالَ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ قَدْ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Seventy thousand people from my Ummah will enter Paradise without being held accountable or subjected to punishment. They do not practice Ruqyah (incantation for healing), do not seek omens, do not practice divination, and they rely solely on their Lord."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ وَلَا عَذَابٍ لَا يَكْتَوُونَ وَلَا يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ

Verily the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Seventy thousand men of my Ummah would enter Paradise without rendering account. They (the companions of the Holy Prophet) said: Who would be those, Messenger of Allah? He (the Holy Prophet) said: They would be those who neither practise charm, not take omens, nor do they cauterise, but they repose their trust in their Lord. (Using translation from Muslim 218b)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ قَالَ مَنْ هُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ هُمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلَا يَكْتَوُونَ وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah has promised me to admit seventy thousand people from my Ummah into paradise without a reckoning." Yazeed ibn Al-Akhnas As-Salamy said, "By Allah, those people are not rare in your Ummah, they are as abundant as golden flies among common flies." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Verily, my Lord has promised me seventy thousand more with every thousand being followed by seventy thousand, and He has added three handfuls to that." He was asked, "O Prophet of Allah, what is the size of your pond (in paradise)?" He replied, "It is as wide as the distance between 'Aden and 'Uman, and it is the widest and the widest." He gestured with his hand. He was asked, "And what is in it, O Prophet of Allah?" He said, "A golden and silver snake is in it." He was asked, "And what is your pond, O Prophet of Allah?" He said, "The water is whiter than milk, sweeter than honey, and more fragrant than musk. Whoever drinks from it will never be thirsty again and his face will never darken."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ وَعَدَنِي أَنْ يُدْخِلَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي الْجَنَّةَ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ فَقَالَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْأَخْنَسِ السُّلَمِيُّ وَاللهِ مَا أُولَئِكَ فِي أُمَّتِكَ إِلَّا كَالذُّبَابِ الْأَصْهَبِ فِي الذِّبَّانِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَإِنَّ رَبِّي قَدْ وَعَدَنِي سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا مَعَ كُلِّ أَلْفٍ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا وَزَادَنِي ثَلَاثَ حَثَيَاتٍ قَالَ فَمَا سِعَةُ حَوْضِكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ؟ قَالَ كَمَا بَيْنَ عَدَنَ إِلَى عُمَانَ وَأَوْسَعَ وَأَوْسَعَ يُشِيرُ بِيَدِهِ قَالَ فِيهِ مَثْعَبَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَفِضَّةٍ قَالَ فَمَا حَوْضُكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ؟ قَالَ مَاءٌ أَشَدُّ بَيَاضًا مِنَ اللَّبَنِ وَأَحْلَى مَذَاقَةً مِنَ الْعَسَلِ وَأَطْيَبُ رَائِحَةً مِنَ الْمِسْكِ مَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْهُ لَمْ يَظْمَأْ بَعْدَهَا وَلَمْ يَسْوَدَّ وَجْهُهُ أَبَدًا

“I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: ‘My Lord has promised me that seventy thousand of my nation will enter Paradise without being brought to account or punished. With every thousand will be (another) seventy thousand, and three handfuls of my Lord, the Glorified.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4286)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ وَعَدَنِي رَبِّي أَنْ يُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ وَلَا عَذَابٍ مَعَ كُلِّ أَلْفٍ سبعين أَلْفًا وَثَلَاثَ حَثَيَاتٍ مِنْ حَثَيَاتِ رَبِّي

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا أَوْ قَالَ سَبْعُ مِائَةِ أَلْفٍ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ

Then those who follow them will have faces as bright as the brightest star in the sky." Ukasha ibn Muhsin stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to make me one of them." He said, "O Allah, make him one of them." Another person stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to make me one of them." He said, "Ukasha has already reached that position."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَوَّلُ زُمْرَةٍ تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ وُجُوهُهُمْ عَلَى ضَوْءِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ عَلَى أَحْسَنِ كَوْكَبٍ دُرِّيٍّ أَضَاءَتْ فِي السَّمَاءِ» فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ «اللَّهُمُ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ» فَقَامَ آخِرُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ «سَبَقَكَ إِلَيْهَا عُكَّاشَةُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ left with her, taking her hand, in the path of Madinah until he reached Al-Baqi' Al-Gharqad. He said, "O Umm Qays." I said, "At your service and at your pleasure, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Do you see this graveyard?" I said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Seventy thousand will emerge from it on the Day of Resurrection in the image of the moon on a full moon night, they will enter Paradise without being held accountable." Ukasha stood up and said, "And me, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "And you." Another person stood up and said, "And me?" He said, "Ukasha preceded you in it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ بِهَا آخِذًا بِيَدِهَا فِي سِكَّةِ الْمَدِينَةِ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى الْبَقِيعِ الْغَرْقَدِ فَقَالَ «يَا أُمَّ قَيْسٍ» قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ «أَتَرَيْنَ هَذِهِ الْمَقْبَرَةَ؟» قُلْتُ نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ «يُبْعَثُ مِنْهَا سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِصُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ» فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ فَقَالَ وَأَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ «وَأَنْتَ» فَقَامَ آخَرُ فَقَالَ وَأَنَا فَقَالَ «سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The nations were presented to me in a vision at the appointed time, and I saw all of them, and I was amazed by their large number and their dignity. They filled the plains and the mountains. It was said to me, 'O Muhammad, are you pleased?' I said, 'Yes, my Lord.' He said, 'For you, there are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without being held accountable. They are the ones who do not practice Aatrar (cauterization) or seek Ruqyah (healing through charms), and they rely upon their Lord.' Ukkashah bin Mihsan stood up and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah that He may make me one of them.' So he supplicated for him. Then another man stood up and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah that He may make me one of them.' He said, 'Ukkashah has preceded you in this.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ الْأُمَمُ بِالْمَوْسِمِ فَرَأَيْتُ جَمِيعَهُمْ فَأَعْجَبَنِي كَثْرَتُهُمْ وَهَيْبَتُهُمْ قَدْ مَلَأُوا السَّهْلَ وَالْجَبَلَ فَقِيلَ أَيْ مُحَمَّدُ رَضِيتَ؟ فَأَقُولُ نَعَمْ أَيْ رَبِّ فَقَالَ إِنَّ لَكَ مَعَ هَؤُلَاءِ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ وَهُمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلَا يَكْتَوُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَدَعَا لَهُ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ آخِرُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ «سَبَقَكَ إِلَيْهَا عُكَّاشَةُ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said: "The nations were presented to me, and I saw my nation, and I was amazed by their countless number and their appearance, as they filled the plains and mountains. Then Allah said, 'O Muhammad, are you pleased?' I said, 'Yes, my Lord.' Allah said, 'With them are also seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without being held accountable. They are those who do not seek omens, do not burn themselves with branding, and do not seek blessings through the performance of actions. Rather, they put their trust in their Lord.' Ukkashah said, 'O Allah, make me one of them.' Allah replied, 'You are one of them.' Then another man said, 'O Allah, make me one of them.' Allah said, 'Ukkashah has preceded you in asking for that.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ الْأُمَمُ بِالْمَوْسِمِ فَرَأَيْتُ أُمَّتِي فَأَعْجَبَتْنِي كَثْرَتُهُمْ وَهَيْئَتُهُمْ قَدْ مَلَؤُوا السَّهْلَ وَالْجَبَلَ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَرَضِيتَ؟ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ أَيْ رَبِّ قَالَ وَمَعَ هَؤُلَاءِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ الَّذِينَ لَا يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلَا يَكْتَوُونَ وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ» فَقَالَ عُكَّاشَةُ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ «اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ» ثُمَّ قَالَ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ «سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The nations were presented to me, and I saw a Prophet accompanied by a group, a Prophet accompanied by one man, and a Prophet with no one accompanying him. Then a huge group was raised before me, so I asked if they were my nation. It was said, 'This is Musa (Moses) and his people, but look at the horizon.' So I looked and saw another huge group. Then it was said to me, 'Look at the other side.' And there was another huge group. It was said to me, 'Your nation, along with them are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without being held accountable or experiencing punishment.' Then the Prophet ﷺ got up and entered. The people began to discuss and ask, 'Who are those who will enter Paradise without being held accountable?' Some said, 'Perhaps they are those who accompanied the Prophet ﷺ .' Others said, 'Perhaps they are those who were born in Islam and never associated partners with Allah and mentioned certain virtues.' The Prophet ﷺ came out to them and asked, 'What are you discussing?' They informed him of what they were saying. He said, 'They are those who do not seek cauterization, do not ask for omens, and do not believe in evil omens. They rely solely on their Lord.' Then 'Ukkashah bin Mihsan Al-Asadi stood up and asked, 'Am I among them, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'Yes, you are among them.' Then another man stood up and asked, 'Am I among them, O Messenger of Allah?' He replied, 'Ukkashah beat you to it.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ الْأُمَمُ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ وَمَعَهُ رَهْطٌ وَالنَّبِيَّ وَمَعَهُ رَجُلٌ وَالنَّبِيَّ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ إِذْ رُفِعَ لِي سَوَادٌ عَظِيمٌ فَقُلْتُ هَذِهِ أُمَّتِي؟ فَقِيلَ هَذَا مُوسَى وَقَوْمُهُ وَلَكِنِ انْظُرْ إِلَى الْأُفُقِ فَنَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا سَوَادٌ عَظِيمٌ ثُمَّ قِيلَ لِي انْظُرْ إِلَى هَذَا الْجَانِبِ الْآخَرِ فَإِذَا سَوَادٌ عَظِيمٌ فَقِيلَ لِي أُمَّتُكَ وَمَعَهُمْ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ وَلَا عَذَابٍ» ثُمَّ نَهَضَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَدَخَلَ فَخَاضَ الْقَوْمُ فِي ذَلِكَ وَقَالُوا مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ؟ فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمُ الَّذِينَ صَحِبُوا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمُ الَّذِينَ وُلِدُوا فِي الْإِسْلَامِ وَلَمْ يُشْرِكُوا بِاللَّهِ قَطُّ وَذَكَرُوا أَشْيَاءَ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَا هَذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ تَخُوضُونَ فِيهِ؟ » فَأَخْبَرُوهُ بِمَقَالَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ «هُمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَكْتَوُونَ* وَلَا يَسْتَرْقُونَ وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُونَ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ» فَقَامَ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ فَقَالَ أَنَا مِنْهُمُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «أَنْتَ مِنْهُمْ» ثُمَّ قَامَ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَقَالَ أَنَا مِنْهُمُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Seventy thousand people from my Ummah (community) will enter Paradise without being held accountable." Ukasha bin Muhsin said, "O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to make me one of them." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, make him one of them." Then another person said, "Pray to Allah to make me one of them." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Ukasha has beaten you to it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَدْخُلُ مِنْ أُمَّتِي الْجَنَّةَ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ» قَالَ فَقَالَ عُكَّاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ» فَقَالَ آخَرُ «ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ » سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ «

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, Allah has promised me that He will admit seventy thousand from my Ummah into Paradise without any reckoning." Yazid bin Al-Akhnas Al-Sulami said, "By Allah, those are not but a small number within your Ummah, O Messenger of Allah, like the golden horseflies among other flies." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Verily, my Lord has promised me seventy thousand with each thousand being seventy thousand more, and He increased me with those who are like mountaintops."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَعَدَنِي أَنْ يُدْخِلَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي الْجَنَّةَ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ» فَقَالَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْأَخْنَسِ السُّلَمِيُّ وَاللَّهِ مَا أُولَئِكَ فِي أُمَّتِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا كَالذُّبَابِ الْأَصْهَبِ فِي الذِّبَّانِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ «رَبِّي قَدْ وَعَدَنِي سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا مَعَ كُلِّ أَلْفٍ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا وَزَادَنِي حَثَيَاتٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, my Lord has promised me that He will admit seventy thousand members of my Ummah into Paradise without reckoning. Then, for every thousand, He will follow them with another seventy thousand, and He will clench His fist three times." Umar raised his voice and said, "Indeed, the first seventy thousand will be interceded for by Allah on behalf of their fathers, mothers, and tribes, and I hope that my Ummah will be the last of those who clench their fists."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ رَبِّي وَعَدَنِي أَنْ يُدْخِلَ مِنَ أُمَّتِي الْجَنَّةَ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ ثُمَّ يُتْبِعُ كُلَّ أَلْفٍ بِسَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا ثُمَّ يَحْثِي بِكَفِّهِ ثَلَاثَ حَثَيَاتٍ» فَكَبَّرَ عُمَرُ فَقَالَ ﷺ «إِنَّ السَّبْعِينَ أَلْفًا الْأُوَلَ يُشَفِّعُهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي آبَائِهِمْ وَأُمَّهَاتِهِمْ وَعَشَائِرِهِمْ وَأَرْجُو أَنْ يَجْعَلَ أُمَّتِي أَدْنَى الْحَثَوَاتِ الْأَوَاخِرِ»

[AI] I heard Muhammad say that the men and women argued about which of them would be more in Paradise. So they went to Abu Hurairah and asked him. He said, "Abu al-Qasim ﷺ said: 'The first group to enter Paradise from my nation will have faces as bright as the full moon at night. Then those who follow them will have faces like the brightest star in the sky. Each man among them will have two wives, the marrow of whose legs can be seen behind the flesh, and there will be no unmarried person in Paradise.'"

سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدًا يَقُولُ اخْتَصَمَ الرِّجَالُ وَالنِّسَاءُ أَيُّهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَكْثَرُ فَأَتَوْا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَسَأَلُوهُ فَقَالَ قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ «أَوَّلُ زُمْرَةٍ تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنَ أُمَّتِي عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ عَلَى أَضْوَأِ كَوْكَبٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ دُرِّيٍّ أَوْ دُرِّيءٍ شَكَّ سُفْيَانُ لِكُلِّ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ زَوْجَتَانِ اثْنَتَانِ يُرَى مُخُّ سُوقِهِنَّ مِنْ وَرَاءِ اللَّحْمِ وَمَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَعْزُبُ»

“The first group to enter Paradise will enter with (faces) like the moon in the night when it is full. Then those who follow them will be shining with a light brighter than the brightest star in the sky. They will not urinate or defecate, or blow their noses or spit. Their combs will be of gold, their sweat will be musk, their braziers (receptacle for holding live coals for burning incense) will be pearls and their wives will be houris. Their form will be that of a single man, the form of their father Adam, sixty forearm’s length tall.’” Another chain reports the same. (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4333)

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أَوَّلُ زُمْرَةٍ تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ عَلَى صُورَةِ أَشَدِّ كَوْكَبٍ دُرِّيٍّ فِي السَّمَاءِ لَا يَبُولُونَ وَلَا يَتَغَوَّطُونَ وَلَا يَتْفُلُونَ وَلَا يَمْتَخِطُونَ أمْشَاطُهُمُ الذَّهَبُ وَرَشْحُهُمُ الْمِسْكُ وَمَجَامِرُهُمُ الْأَلُوَّةُ وَأَزْوَاجُهُمُ الْحُورُ الْعَيْنُ وَأَخْلَاقُهُمْ عَلَى خُلُقِ رَجُلٍ وَاحِدٍ عَلَى صُورَةِ أَبِيهِمْ سِتُّونَ ذِرَاعًا»
