and even more during its last ten nights

The Prophet's ﷺ increased generosity and intensive study of the Quran with Jibrīl during the month of Ramaḍān

(1222) bukhari:6ʿAbdān > ʿAbdullāh > Yūnus > al-Zuhrī; Bishr b. Muḥammad > ʿAbdullāh > Yūnus and Maʿmar > al-Zuhrī > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿAbdullāh > Ibn ʿAbbās

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the most generous of people, and he was at his most generous in Ramadan when Jibril would meet him. He would meet him every night of Ramadan and review the Quran with him, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was more generous with good than a freely blowing wind.

The Prophet ﷺ had heightened devotion during the final ten nights of Ramadan

(1223a) muslim:1174Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm al-Ḥanẓalī And Ibn Abū ʿUmar > Ibn ʿUyaynah > Isḥāq > Sufyān b. ʿUyaynah > Abū Yaʿfūr > Muslim b. Ṣubayḥ > Masrūq > ʿĀʾishah

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that when the last ten nights began Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept awake at night (for prayer and devotion), wakened his family, and prepared himself to observe prayer (with more vigour).

(1223b) bukhari:2024ʿAlī b. ʿAbdullāh > Sufyān > Abū Yaʿfūr > Abū al-Ḍuḥā > Masrūq > ʿĀʾishah

When the last ten began, the Prophet ﷺ would tighten his waist-wrapper, keep his night alive, and wake his family.
