quran:38:86

Say, ˹O Muhammad˺, "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious  

Say: ‘I do not ask of you, in return for this, for delivering the Message ˹to you˺, any reward, any fee; nor am I an impostor, so as to make up the Qur’ān myself.
القرآن:٣٨:٨٦

قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُتَكَلِّفِينَ  

{قل ما أسألكم عليه} على تبليغ الرسالة {من أجر} جُعل {وما أنا من المتكلفين} المتقولين القرآن من تلقاء نفسي.

quran:25:57

Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way."  

Say: ‘I do not ask of you in return for this, that is, for delivering that ˹Message˺ with which I have been sent, any reward, except that whoever wishes to follow a way to his Lord ˹should do so˺’, by expending his wealth for the sake of ˹attaining˺ God’s pleasure, exalted be He; then ˹whoever wishes to do so˺ I will not prevent him from doing so.
القرآن:٢٥:٥٧

قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا  

{قل ما أسألكم عليه} أي على تبليغ ما أرسلت به {من أجر إلا} لكن {من شاء أن يتخذ إلى ربه سبيلا} طريقا بإنفاق ماله في مرضاته تعالى فلا أمنعه من ذلك.
