Indeed they found their fathers astray.  

Lo! they found their fathers to be astray,
القرآن:٣٧:٦٩ –

إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا آبَاءَهُمْ ضَالِّينَ  

{إنهم ألفوْا} وجدوا {آباءهم ضالين}.
