"She was married to Thabit bin Qais bin Shammas. The Messenger of Allah went out to pray As-Subh and he found Habibah bint Sahl at his door at the end of the night. The Messenger of Allah said: 'Who is this?' She said: 'I am Habibah bint Sahl, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'What is the matter?' She said: 'I cannot live with Thabit bin Qais' -her husband. When Thabit bin Qais came, the Messenger of Allah said to him: 'Here is Habibah bint Sahl and she has said what Allah willed she should say.' Habibah said: 'O Messenger of Allah, everything that he gave me is with me.' The Messenger of Allah said: 'Take it from her.' So he took it from her and she stayed with her family."  

النسائي:٣٤٦٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْهُ عَنْ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتِ سَهْلٍ أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَحْتَ ثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ شَمَّاسٍ

She replied: I am Habibah, daughter of Sahl. He asked: What is your case? She replied: I and Thabit ibn Qays, referring to her husband, cannot live together. When Thabit ibn Qays came, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: This is Habibah, daughter of Sahl, and she has mentioned (about you) what Allah wished to mention. Habibah said: Messenger of Allah, all that he gave me is with me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Thabit ibn Qays: Take it from her. So he took it from her, and she lived among her people (relatives).

malik:29-34 –

Yahya related. to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that Amra bint Abd ar-Rahman told him from Habiba bint Sahl al-Ansari that she had been the wife of Thabit ibn Qays ibn Shammas. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out for the dawn prayer, and found Habiba bint Sahl at his door in the darkness. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, "Who is this?" She said, "I am Habiba bint Sahl, Messenger of Allah." He said, "What do you want?" She said, "That Thabit ibn Qays and I separate." When her husband, Thabit ibn Qays came, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "This is Habiba bint Sahl. She mentioned what Allah willed that she mention." Habiba said, "Messenger of Allah, all that he has given me is with me!" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Thabit ibn Qays, "Take it from her," and he took it from her, and she stayed in the house of her family.  

مالك:٢٩-٣٤ – حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ desired to marry her, and she was his neighbor. Thabit struck her, so she came to the door of the Prophet ﷺ with a bandage on her head. The Prophet ﷺ came out and saw a man, and asked, "Who is this?" She said, "I am Habiba bint Sahl." He asked, "What happened to you?" She replied, "Neither I nor Thabit have any problem." Thabit then came to the Prophet ﷺ , and the Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Take from her and leave her alone." She said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have everything he gave me." So he took from her and she went back to her family.  

الدارمي:٢٣١٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى هُوَ ابْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَنَّ عَمْرَةَ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتَ سَهْلٍ تَزَوَّجَهَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ قَيْسِ بْنِ شَمَّاسٍ فَذَكَرَتْ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ هَمَّ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَهَا وَكَانَتْ جَارَةً لَهُ وَأَنَّ ثَابِتًا ضَرَبَهَا فَأَصْبَحَتْ عَلَى بَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الْغَلَسِ وَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ فَرَأَى إِنْسَانًا فَقَالَ «مَنْ هَذَا؟» قَالَتْ أَنَا حَبِيبَةُ بِنْتُ سَهْلٍ فَقَالَ «مَا شَأْنُكِ؟» قَالَتْ لَا أَنَا وَلَا ثَابِتٌ فَأَتَى ثَابِتٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ «خُذْ مِنْهَا وَخَلِّ سَبِيلَهَا» فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عِنْدِي كُلُّ شَيْءٍ أَعْطَانِيهِ فَأَخَذَ مِنْهَا وَقَعَدَتْ عِنْدَ أَهْلِهَا

وَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصُّبْحِ فَوَجَدَ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتَ سَهْلٍ عِنْدَ بَابِهِ فِي الْغَلَسِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ هَذِهِ؟ فَقَالَتْ أَنَا حَبِيبَةُ بِنْتُ سَهْلٍ فَقَالَ مَا شَأْنُكِ؟ فَقَالَتْ لَا أَنَا وَلَا ثَابِتٌ لِزَوْجِهَا فَلَمَّا جَاءَ ثَابِتُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ قَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ هَذِهِ حَبِيبَةُ بِنْتُ سَهْلٍ قَدْ ذَكَرَتْ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ تَذْكُرَ فَقَالَتْ حَبِيبَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كُلُّ مَا أَعْطَانِي عِنْدِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ خُذْ مِنْهَا فَأَخَذَ مِنْهَا وَجَلَسَتْ فِي أَهْلِهَا
