“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Eat and drink, give charity and wear clothes, as long as that does not involve any extravagance or vanity.’”  

ابن ماجة:٣٦٠٥ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا وَتَصَدَّقُوا وَالْبَسُوا مَا لَمْ يُخَالِطْهُ إِسْرَافٌ أَوْ مَخِيلَةٌ  

ahmad:6695 – Yazīd b. Hārūn > Hammām > Qatādah > ʿAmr b. Shuʿayb from his father from his grandfather

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Eat, drink, give in charity, and wear garments that are not extravagant or ostentatious." And he also said, "Yazid (a companion) increased in giving charity without extravagance or showing off."
