"I entered upon Mawan bin Al-Hakam and we mentioned the things for which Wudu' is done. Marwan said: 'Wudu' should be done after touching the penis.' 'Urwah said: 'I did not know that.' Marwan said: 'Busrah bint Safwan told me that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "And if any one of you touches his penis, let him do Wudu'."  

النسائي:١٦٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ أَنْبَأَنَا مَالِكٌ ح وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يَقُولُ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ فَذَكَرْنَا مَا يَكُونُ مِنْهُ الْوُضُوءُ فَقَالَ

مَرْوَانُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ الْوُضُوءُ فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ مَا عَلِمْتُ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ مَرْوَانُ أَخْبَرَتْنِي بُسْرَةُ بِنْتُ صَفْوَانَ أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا مَسَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

malik:2-59 – Yaḥyá > Mālik > ʿAbdullāh b. Abū Bakr b. Muḥammad b. ʿAmr b. Ḥazm > ʿUrwah b. al-Zubayr

Yahya related to me from Malik that Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn Amr ibn Hazim heard Urwa ibn az-Zubayr saying, "I went to see Marwan ibn al-Hakam and we talked about what you had to do wudu for, and Marwan said, 'You have to do wudu if you touch your penis.' Urwa said, 'I didn't know that.' Marwan ibn al-Hakam said that Busra bint Safwan had told him that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'If any of you touches his penis he should do wudu.' "  

مالك:٢-٥٩ – حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ

[Machine] He said that wudu' includes washing the private parts, and Uruwah disagreed with that. Marwan mentioned that Busrah, the daughter of Safwan, informed him about it, so he sent a message to Busrah asking her about it. She said, "The Prophet ﷺ mentioned what should be washed during wudu', and he mentioned washing the private parts."  

الطبراني:٢٠٩٥٦ – حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ الْوُضُوءُ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ عُرْوَةَ فَقَالَ مَرْوَانُ أَخْبَرَتْنِيهِ بُسْرَةُ بِنْتُ صَفْوَانَ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى بُسْرَةَ فَقَالَتْ «ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا يُتَوَضَّأْ مِنْهُ؟ فَذَكَرَ مَسَّ الذَّكَرِ»
