[Machine] The immigrants said, "O Messenger of Allah, the Ansar have given all of their reward. We have not seen a people who excel in giving a lot and in comforting a few of them. And we have been sufficient in sustenance." He said, "Are you not grateful to them and pray to Allah for them?" They said, "Yes." He said, "That is in return for that."  

الكبرى للنسائي:٩٩٣٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ الْبَحْرَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَالَتِ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ذَهَبْتِ الْأَنْصَارُ بِالْأَجْرِ كُلِّهِ مَا رَأَيْنَا قَوْمًا أَحْسَنَ بَذْلًا لَكَثِيرٍ وَلَا أَحْسَنَ مُوَاسَاةٍ فِي قَلِيلٍ مِنْهُمْ وَلَقَدْ كَفَوْنَا الْمُؤْنَةَ؟ قَالَ «أَلَيْسَ تُثْنُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِهِ وَتَدْعُونَ اللهَ لَهُمْ؟» قَالُوا بَلَى قَالَ «فَذَاكَ بِذَاكَ»

[Machine] The migrants said, "O Messenger of Allah, we have never seen a people who have been shown more kindness in abundance or better companionship in times of scarcity. They have fully earned our support and shared with us in looking after the sick and vulnerable. However, we fear that they will take all the reward for themselves." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "No, as long as you praise them and make dua for them to Allah, they will not lose their reward."  

أحمد:١٣١٢٢ – حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَتِ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا رَأَيْنَا مِثْلَ قَوْمٍ قَدِمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَحْسَنَ بَذْلًا مِنْ كَثِيرٍ وَلَا أَحْسَنَ مُوَاسَاةً فِي قَلِيلٍ قَدْ كَفَوْنَا الْمَئُونَةَ وَأَشْرَكُونَا فِي الْمَهْنَأِ فَقَدْ خَشِينَا أَنْ يَذْهَبُوا بِالْأَجْرِ كُلِّهِ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كَلَّا مَا أَثْنَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ بِهِ وَدَعَوْتُمُ اللهَ لَهُمْ  

bayhaqi:12034 – Abū Ṭāhir al-Faqīh > ʿUbdūs b. al-Ḥusayn b. Manṣūr al-Naysābūrī > Abū Ḥātim al-Rāzī > al-Anṣārī > Ḥumayd > Anas

"When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Al-Madinah the Muhajirun came to him and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! We have not seen a people more willing to sacrifice when having a lot, nor more patient when having a little than the people whom we are staying among. Our provisions are so sufficient, and we share with them in their produce such that we fear that all our reward is gone. So the Prophet ﷺ said: "No. As long as you supplicate to Allah for them and praise (show gratitude to) them(for it)." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2487)   

البيهقي:١٢٠٣٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ عُبْدُوسُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ثنا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا الْأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا رَأَيْنَا مِثْلَ قَوْمٍ قَدِمْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الْمَدِينَةَ أَحْسَنَ بَذْلًا مِنْ كَثِيرٍ وَلَا أَحْسَنَ مُوَاسَاةً مِنْ قَلِيلٍ قَدْ كَفَوْنَا الْمُؤْنَةَ وَأَشْرَكُونَا فِي الْمَهْنَأِ فَقَدْ خَشِينَا أَنْ يَكُونُوا يَذْهَبُونَ بِالْأَجْرِ كُلِّهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كَلَّا مَا أَثْنَيْتُمْ بِهِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَدَعَوْتُمُ اللهَ لَهُمْ
