“I could not find him, meaning the Prophet ﷺ, and he was in Al-Baqi’. He said: “As-salamu ‘alaykum dara qawmin mu’minin. Antum lana faratun wa inna bikum lahiqun. Allahumma la tahrimna ajrahum wa la taftinna ba’dahum. (Peace be upon you, O abode of believing people. You have gone ahead of us and verily we will join you soon. O Allah, do not deprive us of their reward and do not put us to trial after them).”  

فَقَدْتُهُ تَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِالْبَقِيعِ فَقَالَ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ دَارَ قَوْمٍ مُؤْمِنِينَ أَنْتُمْ لَنَا فَرَطٌ وَإِنَّا بِكُمْ لاَحِقُونَ اللَّهُمَّ لاَ تَحْرِمْنَا أَجْرَهُمْ وَلاَ تَفْتِنَّا بَعْدَهُمْ  

“I could not find him, meaning the Prophet ﷺ, and he was in Al-Baqi’. He said: “As-salamu ‘alaykum dara qawmin mu’minin. Antum lana faratun wa inna bikum lahiqun. فَقَدْتُهُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِالْبَقِيعِ فَقَالَ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ دَارَ قَوْمٍ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَأَنْتُمْ لَنَا فَرَطٌ وَإِنَّا بِكُمْ لَاحِقُونَ اللهُمَّ لَا تَحْرِمْنَا أَجْرَهُمْ وَلَا تَفْتِنَّا بَعْدَهُمْ تَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ got up at night, and I thought he was going to visit some of his wives, so I followed him. He went to the graveyards and said, "Peace be upon you, O dwellings of the believers. We will soon join you. O Allah, do not deprive us of their reward and do not test us after them." Then I turned around and saw him, so he said, "Woe to her. If she could, she would have done the same." This was mentioned by his companion once again, narrated by Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Al-Qasim ibn Muhammad, from Aisha, from the Prophet ﷺ , saying, "Like him."  

قَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ يَأْتِي بَعْضَ نِسَائِهِ فَاتَّبَعْتُهُ فَأَتَى الْمَقَابِرَ ثُمَّ قَالَ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ دَارَ قَوْمٍ مُؤْمِنِينَ وَ إِنَّا بِكُمْ لَلَاحِقُونَ اللهُمَّ لَا تَحْرِمْنَا أَجْرَهُمْ وَلَا تَفْتِنَّا بَعْدَهُمْ قَالَتْ ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ فَرَآنِي فَقَالَ وَيْحَهَا لَوْ اسْتَطَاعَتْ مَا فَعَلَتْ قَالَ ذَكَرَهُ شَرِيكٌ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ  

"سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ دارَ قوْمٍ مُؤْمِنِين، وَإِنَا بِكُمْ لَاحِقُونَ، اللَّهُمَّ لا تَحْرمنَا أجْرَهُمْ، وَلا تفْتِنَّا بَعْدَهُمْ"  

"السَّلامُ عَلَيكُمْ دار قوم مؤْمنين أَنتم لنا فَرَطٌ وإِنَّا بِكُم لاحِقُونَ، اللَّهُمَّ لا تَحْرِمْنا أجْرَهُمْ ولا تَفْتِنَّا بَعْدَهُمْ".
