[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to visit the Ansar (the supporters of the Prophet in Medina) and greet their children, and he would pat their heads and pray for them.  

الكبرى للنسائي:٨٢٩١ – أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَزُورُ الْأَنْصَارَ فَيُسَلِّمُ عَلَى صِبْيَانِهِمْ وَيَمْسَحُ بِرُءوسِهِمْ وَيَدْعُو لَهُمْ»
