The Prophet ﷺ as saying: When a servant (of Allah) is placed in his grave, and his Companions depart from him, he hears the stepping sound of their shoes. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3231)

الكبرى للنسائي:٢١٨٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْوَرَّاقُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ

«إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا وُضِعَ فِي قَبْرِهِ وَتَوَلَّى عَنْهُ أَصْحَابُهُ إِنَّهُ لَيَسْمَعُ قَرْعَ نِعَالِهِمْ»
