the Messenger of Allah was shrouded in three white Yemeni garments of cotton, among which was no shirt and no turban. It was mentioned to 'Aishah that they said: "He was buried in two garments and a Burd made of Hibrah." She said: "A Burd was brought, but they sent it back and did not shroud him in it." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1899)  

الكبرى للنسائي:٢٠٣٧أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«كُفِّنَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ بِيضٍ يَمَانِيَةٍ كُرْسُفٍ لَيْسَ فِيهَا قَمِيصٌ وَلَا عِمَامَةٌ» قَالَ فَذُكِرَ لِعَائِشَةَ قَوْلُهُمْ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ وَبُرْدٍ حِبَرَةٍ قَالَتْ قَدْ أُتِيَ بِالْبُرْدِ وَلَكِنَّهُمْ رَدُّوهُ وَلَمْ يُكَفِّنُوهُ فِيهِ

Aishah said: "The Prophet was shrouded in three white Yemeni cloths, there was no shirt nor turban among them." He said: "So they mentioned the saying of the others to Aishah, that there were two garments and a Habir Burd. She said: 'A Burd was brought, but they refused it and they did not shroud him in it.'"  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.

“They used to claim that he was shrouded in Hibarah.” ‘Aishah said: “They brought a Hibarah Burd, but they did not shroud him in it.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1469)

ﷺ كُفِّنَ فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ بِيضٍ يَمَانِيَةٍ لَيْسَ لَهُ فِيهَا قَمِيصٌ وَلَا عِمَامَةٌ قَالَ فَقِيلَ لِعَائِشَةَ ؓ إِنَّهُمْ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُ قَدْ كَانَ كُفِّنَ فِي بُرْدِ حِبَرَةٍ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ ؓ قَدْ جَاءُوا بِبُرْدِ حِبَرَةٍ وَلَمْ يُكَفِّنُوهُ
