He who follows the bier, for him is the reward of one qirat. Ibn 'Umar said: Abu Huraira narrated it too often. So he sent (a messenger to) 'A'isha to ascertain (the fact). She ('A'isha) testified Abu Huraira. Ibn 'Umar said: We missed so many qirats.  

مسلم:٩٤٥f – حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَازِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ قَالَ

قِيلَ لاِبْنِ عُمَرَ إِنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ مِنَ الأَجْرِ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَكْثَرَ عَلَيْنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَبَعَثَ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ فَسَأَلَهَا فَصَدَّقَتْ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَقَدْ فَرَّطْنَا فِي قَرَارِيطَ كَثِيرَةٍ

Ibn ʿUmar was told that Abu Huraira said, "Whoever accompanies the funeral procession will have a reward equal to one Qirat." Ibn ʿUmar said, "Abu Huraira talks of a too enormous reward." Aisha attested Abu Huraira's narration and said, "I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying like that." Ibn ʿUmar said, "We have lost numerous Qirats."  

البخاري:١٣٢٣ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ نَافِعًا يَقُولُ حُدِّثَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ يَقُولُ مَنْ تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ فَقَالَ أَكْثَرَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ عَلَيْنَا فَصَدَّقَتْ يَعْنِي عَائِشَةَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَقَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُهُ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ؓ لَقَدْ فَرَّطْنَا فِي قَرَارِيطَ كَثِيرَةٍ {فَرَّطْتُ} ضَيَّعْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ

The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever performs the funeral prayer then he will get a reward equal to a Qirat. Whoever follows it until it is buried then he will get a reward equal to two Qirat, one of them, or the least of them, is similar to Uhud (mountain)." This was mentioned to Ibn Umar, so he sent a message to Aishah to ask her about that, and she said: "Abu Hurairah has told the truth." So Ibn Umar said: "We have missed many Qirat." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1040)   

أحمد:١٠٤٦٨ – حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهَا حَتَّى يُقْضَى دَفْنُهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ أَصْغَرُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ فَذَكَرْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ فَتَعَاظَمَهُ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَتْ صَدَقَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَقَدْ فَرَّطْنَا فِي قَرَارِيطَ كَثِيرَةٍ
