Everyone among you is constantly in prayer so long as the prayer detains him (for this noble objective) and nothing prevents him to return to his family but the prayer.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَزَالُ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلاَةٍ مَا دَامَتِ الصَّلاَةُ تَحْبِسُهُ لاَ يَمْنَعُهُ أَنْ يَنْقَلِبَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ إِلاَّ الصَّلاَةُ
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The angels keep on asking for Allah's Blessing and Forgiveness for anyone of you as long as he is at his Musalla (praying place) and does not do Hadath (passes wind). The angels say, 'O Allah! Forgive him and be Merciful to him.' Each one of you is in the prayer as long as he is waiting for the prayer and nothing but the prayer detains him from going to his family."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ تُصَلِّي عَلَى أَحَدِكُمْ مَا دَامَ فِي مُصَلاَّهُ مَا لَمْ يُحْدِثْ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْهُ لاَ يَزَالُ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلاَةٍ مَا دَامَتِ الصَّلاَةُ تَحْبِسُهُ لاَ يَمْنَعُهُ أَنْ يَنْقَلِبَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ إِلاَّ الصَّلاَةُ
The Prophet ﷺ said, "As long as any-one of you is waiting for the prayer, he is considered to be praying actually, and the angels say, 'O Allah! Be merciful to him and forgive him', (and go on saying so) unless he leaves his place of praying or passes wind (i.e. breaks his ablution).
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ فِي صَلاَةٍ مَا دَامَتِ الصَّلاَةُ تَحْبِسُهُ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةُ تَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ مَا لَمْ يَقُمْ مِنْ صَلاَتِهِ أَوْ يُحْدِثْ
Nothing prevents one from going home to one’s family except prayer.
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَزَالُ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلاَةٍ مَا كَانَتِ الصَّلاَةُ تَحْبِسُهُ لاَ يَمْنَعُهُ أَنْ يَنْقَلِبَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ إِلاَّ الصَّلاَةُ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You are in prayer as long as the prayer detains you and there is nothing that prevents you from returning to your family except the prayer."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَزَالُ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلاَةٍ مَا كَانَتِ الصَّلاَةُ تَحْبِسُهُ لاَ يَمْنَعُهُ أَنْ يَنْقَلِبَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ إِلاَّ الصَّلاَةُ
[Machine] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "One of you continues to be in prayer as long as the prayer prevents him from doing anything, except waiting for it."
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَزَالُ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا كَانَتِ الصَّلَاةُ هِيَ تَحْبِسُهُ لَا يَمْنَعُهُ إِلَّا انْتِظَارُهَا
Nothing prevents one from going home to one’s family except prayer. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 470)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَزَالُ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا دَامَتِ الصَّلَاةُ تَحْبِسُهُ لَا يَمْنَعُهُ أَنْ يَنْقَلِبَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ إِلَّا الصَّلَاةُ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "One of you will continue in prayer as long as the prayer keeps him from returning to his family, except for the prayer."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَزَالُ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا دَامَتِ الصَّلَاةُ تَحْبِسُهُ لَا يَمْنَعُهُ أَنْ يَنْقَلِبَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ إِلَّا الصَّلَاةُ
"لا يَزالُ أحَدُكم فِي صَلاةٍ مَا دَامَت الصَّلاةُ تَحْبسُهُ؛ لا يَمْنَعُهُ أن يَنْقَلِب إِلَى أَهْلِهِ إلا الصَّلاةُ".
