Iman has over seventy branches, and modesty is a branch of Iman.

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said: “Faith has sixty-odd branches, and modesty is a branch of faith.”

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ قَوْلَهُ ﷺ «فَإِنَّهَا مُؤْمِنَةٌ» مِنَ الْأَلْفَاظِ الَّتِي ذَكَرْنَا أَنَّ الْعَرَبَ إِذَا كَانَ الشَّيْءُ لَهُ أَجْزَاءٌ وَشُعَبٌ تُطْلِقُ اسْمَ ذَلِكَ الشَّيْءِ بِكُلِّيَّتِهِ عَلَى بَعْضِ أَجْزَائِهِ وَشُعَبِهِ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ ذَلِكَ الْجُزْءُ وَتِلْكَ الشُّعْبَةُ ذَلِكَ الشَّيْءَ بِكَمَالِهِ
