Invoke curse upon the polytheists, whereupon he said: I have not been sent as the invoker of curse, but I have been sent as mercy."
قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ عَلَى الْمُشْرِكِينَ قَالَ إِنِّي لَمْ أُبْعَثْ لَعَّانًا وَإِنَّمَا بُعِثْتُ رَحْمَةً
Abu Hurayra said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, "Messenger of Allah, invoke a curse for us against the idolaters.' He replied, 'I was not sent as a curser. I was sent as a mercy.'"
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ عَلَى الْمُشْرِكِينَ قَالَ إِنِّي لَمْ أُبْعَثْ لَعَّانًا وَلَكِنْ بُعِثْتُ رَحْمَةً
"بُعِثْتُ رَحمةً، وَلَم أُبعَثْ لَعَّانًا, (وَيُروَى) عَذابًا؛ حِينَ سُئِلَ أَن يَدْعُوَ اللهَ عَلَى المُشْرِكين".
"إِنِّى لَمْ أُبعَثْ لَعَّانًا وَإِنَّمَا بُعِثْتُ رَحْمَة" .
