What is this that I see the children of my brother lean? Are they not fed properly? She said: No, but they fall under the influence of an evil eve. He said: Use incantation She recited (the words of incantation before him), whereupon he (by approving them) said: Yes, use this incantation for them.  

مسلم:٢١٩٨حَدَّثَنِي عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الْعَمِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ رَخَّصَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لآلِ حَزْمٍ فِي رُقْيَةِ الْحَيَّةِ وَقَالَ لأَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ مَا لِي أَرَى أَجْسَامَ بَنِي أَخِي ضَارِعَةً تُصِيبُهُمُ الْحَاجَةُ قَالَتْ لاَ وَلَكِنِ الْعَيْنُ تُسْرِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ ارْقِيهِمْ قَالَتْ فَعَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ ارْقِيهِمْ

[Machine] "He heard Jabir say that the Prophet ﷺ said to Asma bint Umays, 'What is the matter with your tribe, that they are frequently afflicted with misfortunes?' She replied, 'But do they get affected by the evil eye?' He asked, 'With what should I cure them?' So she presented him with methods, and he said, 'Perform ruqyah for them.'"

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said to Nu'manah bint Ja'far, "Why is it that I do not see the bodies of the Banu Ja'far shining bright according to their father's status?" She replied, "No, but they are frequently affected by the evil eye. Shall I perform ruqyah on them?" He said, "Yes", so she presented some words to him that were acceptable, and he said, "Perform ruqyah on them."
