Jabir b. 'Abdullah related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and he related like this.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of al-Bara' with a slight modification of words.

سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَا نَحْوَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُمَا قَالاَ تَنْقُزُ

The similitude of mine and that of the Apostles; the rest of the hadith is the same.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُ النَّبِيِّينَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Abu Musa with a slight variation of wording.

بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

This hadith is narrated likewise through another chain of transmitters.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

I head the Prophet ﷺ uttering (all these supplications) in a supererogatory prayer; he narrated the tradition in a similar manner.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي التَّطَوُّعِ ذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

He then reported the same tradition as mentioned above but he mentioned (in this version) the word “mail post”.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ إِلاَّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ بَرِيدًا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Al-Bara’ (b. ‘Azib) from the prophet (May peace be upon him) through a different chain of narrators is a similar way.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

"I came to the Messenger of Allah" and he mentioned something similar.

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

"I came to the Messenger of Allah" and he mentioned something similar. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4176)

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ الْحَدِيثِ

the Prophet ﷺ said, and the ˹narrator˺ mentioned similarly.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "To me is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he mentioned someone like him."

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] A man came to the Prophet (PBUH) and mentioned the topic/discussed the matter.

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said and then he mentioned the Hadith.

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺفَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

يَقُولُقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, and he mentioned something similar to it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] I came to the Prophet ﷺ and he mentioned the hadith.

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَالْحَدِيثَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So he mentioned something similar to it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So he mentioned its likeness."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said and mentioned something similar to it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَا بِلَالُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said and mentioned something similar.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] "He asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he mentioned something similar to it."

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Witr (the nightly odd numbered prayer) is a right (that it should be performed)." Then the narrated something similar.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْوِتْرُ حَقٌّ» فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "A man is brought..." and then he mentioned the narration.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يُؤْتَى بِالرَّجُلِ» فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ مَوْقُوفًا
