(1667) bukhari:2442Yaḥyá b. Bukayr > al-Layth > ʿUqayl > Ibn Shihāb > Sālim > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim: he does not wrong him, nor does he abandon him. Whoever is in need of his brother, Allah will be there for his need; whoever relieves a Muslim of a distress, Allah will relieve him of a distress from the distresses of the Day of Judgement; and whoever covers ˹the faults of˺ a Muslim, Allah will cover him on the Day of Resurrection.”

Allah gives respite to the oppressors and the wrongdoers

(1668) bukhari:4686Ṣadaqah b. al-Faḍl > Abū Muʿāwiyah > Burayd b. Abū Burdah > Abū Burdah > Abū Mūsá

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Indeed, Allah grants respite to the wrongdoer until, when He seizes him, He does not let him escape.” Then he recited: “And thus is the seizing of your Lord when He seizes the towns while they are wrongdoing. Indeed, His seizing is painful and severe.”
