ibnmajah:1704ʿAlī b. Muḥammad > ʿAbdullāh b. Numayr > ʿUbaydullāh > Nāfiʿ > Saʾalt Um Salamah > al-a man Yuṣbiḥ / Junub Yurīd al-Ṣawm

“I asked Umm Salamah about a man who gets up in the morning when he is in a state of sexual impurity and wants to fast. She said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to get up in the morning in a state of sexual impurity after having intercourse, not from a wet dream, then he would take a bath and complete his fast.’”  

ابن ماجة:١٧٠٤حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ

عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُصْبِحُ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ يُرِيدُ الصَّوْمَ؟ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا مِنَ الْوِقَاعِ لاَ مِنِ احْتِلاَمٍ ثُمَّ يَغْتَسِلُ وَيُتِمُّ صَوْمَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ (at times) got up in the morning in a state of junub, not because of sexual dreams (but on account of intercourse at night), and then observed fast.  

مسلم:١١٠٩eحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ ؓ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا أَيَصُومُ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا مِنْ غَيْرِ احْتِلاَمٍ ثُمَّ يَصُومُ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to wake up in a state of janaabah without having sexual dreams, then he would perform ablution and continue his fasting.  

الطبراني:٢٠٣١٨حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا مِنْ غَيْرِ احْتِلَامٍ ثُمَّ يَغْتَسِلُ وَيَمْضِي عَلَى صَوْمَهِ»

[Machine] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ used to wake up in a state of janabah (sexual impurity) due to nocturnal emissions, not as a result of sexual intercourse, and then he would complete his fasting.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا مِنَ الْوِقَاعِ لَا مِنَ الاحْتِلَامِ ثُمَّ يُتِمُّ صَوْمَهُ»
