“Why did you not tell me?” Then he went to her grave and offered the funeral prayer for her.  

ابن ماجة:١٥٢٧حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً سَوْدَاءَ كَانَتْ تَقُمُّ الْمَسْجِدَ فَفَقَدَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَسَأَلَ عَنْهَا بَعْدَ أَيَّامٍ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّهَا مَاتَتْ قَالَ فَهَلاَّ آذَنْتُمُونِي فَأَتَى قَبْرَهَا فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا

A black man or a black woman used to sweep the mosque and he or she died. The Prophet ﷺ asked about her (or him). He was told that she (or he) had died. He said, "Why did you not inform me? Show me his grave (or her grave)." So he went to her (his) grave and offered her (his) funeral prayer."

A negress (or a youth) used to sweep the mosque. The Prophet ﷺ missed him, and when he asked about him the people told him that he had died. He said: Why have you not informed me ? He said: Lead me to his grave. So they led him and he prayed over him.

[Machine] A black woman used to attend the mosque regularly, but when she died, the Prophet (PBUH) missed her. He asked about her after a few days and was informed that she had died. He said, "Why didn't you inform me?" He then went to her grave and prayed for her. Ibn Abda added in his narration that Hammad informed him that Thabit said, "The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, 'These graves are filled with darkness for their inhabitants, but Allah illuminates them with my prayers upon them.'"
