It was narrated from Ubayy bin Ka’b that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray Witr and he would recite Qunut before Ruku’.  

ابن ماجة:١١٨٢حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ الرَّقِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ الْيَامِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أُبَىِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ فَيَقْنُتُ قَبْلَ الرُّكُوعِ

He was asked about Qunut in the Subh prayer, and he said: “We used to recite Qunut before Ruku’ and afterwards.”

كُنَّا نَقْنُتُ قَبْلَ الرُّكُوعِ وَبَعْدَهُ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to go to Quba (to pray), he would walk as well as ride.  

مالك:٩-٧٩وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ
