[Machine] A woman named Khawla bint Hakeem, who was seeking a meeting with Aisha, entered the home of Uthman ibn Mazh'un while Aisha was in her plain attire. Aisha asked her, "What is your concern?" She replied, "My husband stays awake during the night and fasts during the day." Prophet Muhammad ﷺ entered and Aisha mentioned this to him. The Prophet ﷺ then met Uthman ibn Mazh'un and said, "O Uthman, monasticism has not been prescribed for us. What do you say about a good example for yourself? By Allah, I fear Allah for your sake and safeguard you within His limits."

Then the Prophet ﷺ entered, and Aisha mentioned this to him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ met Uthman and said, "O Uthman, monasticism has not been prescribed for us. So what is the matter with you? By Allah, I fear Allah more than you do, and I observe His limits more than you do."
