ذِكْرُ إِثْبَاتِ مَحَبَّةِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Today, I will give the flag to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger." The people were eager and asked, "Where is Ali?" They said he had eye pain, so he called him. He spat in his hands and wiped Ali's eyes with them. Then he handed him the flag, and Allah granted him victory.  

ابن حبّان:٦٩٣٣أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُنَيْنٍ يَزِيدَ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَأَدْفَعَنَّ الرَّايَةَ الْيَوْمَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ يُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ» فَتَطَاوَلَ الْقَوْمُ فَقَالَ «أَيْنَ عَلِيٌّ»؟ فَقَالُوا يَشْتَكِي عَيْنَهُ فَدَعَاهُ فَبَزَقَ فِي كَفَّيْهِ وَمَسَحَ بِهِمَا عَيْنَ عَلِيٍّ ثُمَّ دَفَعَ إِلَيْهِ الرَّايَةَ فَفَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ

"عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رسولُ الله ﷺ لأَدْفَعَنَّ الَيْومَ الرَّايَةَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ يُحِبُّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ، فَتَطَاوَلَ الْقَومُ، فَقَالَ: أَيْنَ عَلِىٌّ؟ فَقَالُوا: يَشْتَكِى عَيْنَيْهِ، فَدَعَاهُ فَبَزَقَ في كَفَّيهِ وَمَسَحَ بِهِمَا عَينَ عَلِىٍّ، ثُمَّ دَفَعَ إِلَيْه الرَّايةَ، فَفَتَحَ اللهُ -تَعَالَى- عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَئِذٍ".
