ذِكْرُ وَصْفِ غَسْلِ الدَّمِ عَنْ وَجْهِ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ حِينَ شُجَّ

ibnhibban:6578 – ʿUmar b. Muḥammad al-Hamdānī > Naṣr b. ʿAlī > Sufyān > Abū Ḥāzim > Saʾalūā

[Machine] They asked Sahl ibn Saad about what was used to treat the Prophet's wounds. He said, "No one knows better than me. Ali would bring water in a container and Fatimah would wash the blood. Then, a mat was taken, burned, and the wounds were cauterized with it."  

ابن حبّان:٦٥٧٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ

سَأَلُوا سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ دُووِيَ جُرْحُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ النَّاسِ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي كَانَ عَلِيٌّ ؓ يَجِيءُ بِالْمَاءِ فِي شَنَّةٍ وَفَاطِمَةُ تَغْسِلُ الدَّمَ فَأُخِذَ حَصِيرٌ فَأُحْرِقَ فَدُووِيَ بِهِ ﷺ»

Sahl bin Saʿd As-Saʿidi, was asked by the people, "With what was the wound of the Prophet ﷺ treated? Sahl replied, "None remains among the people living who knows that better than I. ʿAli [??] used to bring water in his shield and Fatima used to wash the blood off his face. Then straw mat was burnt and the wound was filled with it."  

البخاري:٢٤٣ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ

سَمِعَ سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيَّ وَسَأَلَهُ النَّاسُ وَمَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ أَحَدٌ بِأَىِّ شَىْءٍ دُووِيَ جُرْحُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا بَقِيَ أَحَدٌ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي كَانَ عَلِيٌّ يَجِيءُ بِتُرْسِهِ فِيهِ مَاءٌ وَفَاطِمَةُ تَغْسِلُ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ الدَّمَ فَأُخِذَ حَصِيرٌ فَأُحْرِقَ فَحُشِيَ بِهِ جُرْحُهُ  

bukhari:3037 – ʿAlī b. ʿAbdullāh > Sufyān > Abū Ḥāzim > Saʾalūā

The people asked Sahl bin Saʿd As-Sa' idi "With what thing (medicine) was the wound of Allah's Apostle treated?" He replied, "There is none left (living) amongst the people who knows it better than. ʿAli used to bring water in his shield and Fatima (i.e. the Prophet's daughter) used to wash the blood off his face. Then a mat (of palm leaves) was burnt and its ash was inserted in the wound of Allah's Apostle."  

البخاري:٣٠٣٧ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ قَالَ

[Machine] I asked Sahl ibn Saad al-Saadi about what caused the wound of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Uhud. He said, "No one knows better than me what happened on the face of the earth. 'Ali carried water in his shield, and Fatimah washed off the blood. A mat was burned, so it was used to heal the wound."  

الطبراني:٥٩١٨ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا زَافِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ السُّكَّرِيُّ الْجُنْدِيسَابُورِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خُلَيْدٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيَّ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ دُووِيَ جُرْحُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ؟ فَقَالَ «مَا بَقِيَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ أَحَدٌ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي كَانَ عَلِيٌّ ؓ يَنْقُلُ الْمَاءَ فِي تُرْسِهِ وَكَانَتْ فَاطِمَةُ تَغْسِلُ الدَّمَ وَأُحْرِقَ حَصِيرٌ فَحُشِيَ بِهِ»
