ذِكْرُ سُؤَالِ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ أَنْ يَجْعَلَ سِبَابَهُ لِأُمَّتِهِ قُرْبَةً لَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

ibnhibban:6515 – Muḥammad b. al-Ḥasan b. Qutaybah > Ḥarmalah b. Yaḥyá > Ibn Wahb > Yūnus > Ibn Shihāb > Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab > Abū Hurayrah > Innah

O Allah, for any believing servant whom I curse make that as a source of nearness to Thee on the Day of Resurrection. (Using translation from Muslim 2601f)  

ابن حبّان:٦٥١٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ

سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «اللَّهُمَّ أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ مُؤْمِنٍ سَبَبْتُهُ فَاجْعَلْ ذَلِكَ قُرْبَةً إِلَيْكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

that he heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "O Allah! If I should ever abuse a believer, please let that be a means of bringing him near to You on the Day of Resurrection."
