ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنِ الِاسْتِقَاءِ مِنْ آبَارِ أَرْضِ ثَمُودَ
that the people camped along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in ˹the valley˺ of al-Ḥijr, the land of Thamūd, and they quenched their thirst from the wells and kneaded dough with it. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered that they spill out what they had ˹collected for drinking˺ and the dough be fed to the camels. ˹Instead,˺ he ordered that they ˹collect drinking water˺ from that well where the she-camel (of Ṣāliḥ) used to visit. أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّاسَ نَزَلُوا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْحِجْرَ أَرْضَ ثَمُودَ فَاسْتَقَوْا مِنْ آبَارِهَا وَعَجَنُوا بِهِ الْعَجِينَ فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنَ يُهْرِيقُوا مَا اسْتَقَوْا وَأَنْ يَعْلِفُوا الْإِبِلَ الْعَجِينَ وَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَسْتَقُوا مِنَ الْبِئْرِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ تَرِدُهَا النَّاقَةُ «
