[Machine] "About the arrows of those who did not witness the conquest and the battle from the Madad, they said, 'They do not shoot. Do you not see that two groups enter from the same path or two different paths, one of them seizes the spoils while the other does not? And one of them is stronger than the other, so do not let one of them share the spoils with the other. Either all the spoils are seized, or one of them seizes it. This is how the matter went with them.'"  

ابن حبّان:٤٨١٥aأَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَمْرٍو الْأَوْزَاعِيَّ

عَنْ سِهَامِ مَنْ لَمْ يَشْهَدِ الْفَتْحَ وَالْقِتَالَ مِنَ الْمَدَدِ فَقَالَ «لَا يُسْهَمُونَ أَلَا تَرَى إِلَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ تَدْخُلَانِ مِنْ دَرْبِ وَاحِدٍ أَوْ دَرْبَيْنِ مُخْتَلِفَيْنِ فَتَغْنَمُ إِحْدَاهُمَا وَلَا تَغْنَمُ الْأُخْرَى وَإِحْدَاهُمَا قُوَّةٌ لِلْأُخْرَى فَلَا تُشْرِكُ إِحْدَاهُمَا الْأُخْرَى غَنِمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ غَنِمَ أَحَدُهُمَا بِذَلِكَ مَضَى الْأَمْرُ فِيهِمْ»

And one faction is stronger than the other, so do not let one faction share the spoils with the other, but rather let one faction seize all the spoils or let one of them seize it. That is how the matter has proceeded among them."
