ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنْ جَلْدِ الْمَرْءِ امْرَأَتَهُ عِنْدَ إِرَادَتِهِ تَأْدِيبَهَا

ibnhibban:4190 – Abū ʿArūbah Biḥarrān > Isḥāq b. Zayd al-Khaṭṭābī > al-Firyābī > al-Thawrī > Hishām b. ʿUrwah from his father > ʿAbdullāh b. Zamʿah

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "How can one of you beat his wife like a slave, and then engage in sexual intercourse with her at the end of the day?"  

ابن حبّان:٤١٩٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ بِحَرَّانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْخَطَّابِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْفِرْيَابِيُّ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَمْعَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «عَلَامَ يَجْلِدُ أَحَدُكُمُ امْرَأَتَهُ جَلْدَ الْعَبْدِ ثُمَّ يُجَامِعُهَا فِي آخِرِ الْيَوْمِ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "None of you should flog his wife as he flogs a slave and then have sexual intercourse with her in the last part of the day."
