ذِكْرُ خَبَرٍ قَدْ تَعَلَّقَ بِهِ مَنْ لَمْ يَتَبَحَّرْ فِي الْعِلْمِ وَلَا طَلَبِهِ مِنْ مَظَانِّهِ فَنَفَى جَوَازَ الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْقَبْرِ

ibnhibban:3086 – Aḥmad b. ʿAlī b. al-Muthanná > Hudbah b. Khālid > Ḥammād b. Salamah > Thābit > Abū Rāfiʿ > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] A man used to cause harm in the mosque, and then he died. The Prophet ﷺ missed him and asked, "What happened to so-and-so?" They said, "He died." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Why didn't you inform me?" They seemed to have concealed his matter. He then said to his companions, "Go and guide me to his grave." So, he went and prayed over him and said, "Verily, these graves are filled with darkness for their inhabitants, but Allah illuminates them for them with my prayers."  

ابن حبّان:٣٠٨٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ يَلْتَقِطُ الْأَذَى مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ فَمَاتَ فَفَقَدَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مَا فَعَلَ فُلَانٌ؟ » قَالُوا مَاتَ قَالَ «هَلَّا كُنْتُمْ آذَنْتُمُونِي بِهِ» فَكَأَنَّهُمُ اسْتَخَفُّوا شَأْنَهُ قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ «انْطَلِقُوا فَدُلُّونِي عَلَى قَبْرِهِ» فَذَهَبَ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْقُبُورَ مَمْلُوءَةٌ ظُلْمَةً عَلَى أَهْلِهَا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُنَوِّرُهَا عَلَيْهِمْ بِصَلَاتِي»

مسلم:٩٥٦ – وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ فُضَيْلُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ وَاللَّفْظُ لأَبِي كَامِلٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً سَوْدَاءَ كَانَتْ تَقُمُّ الْمَسْجِدَ أَوْ شَابًّا فَفَقَدَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَسَأَلَ عَنْهَا أَوْ عَنْهُ فَقَالُوا مَاتَ قَالَ أَفَلاَ كُنْتُمْ آذَنْتُمُونِي قَالَ فَكَأَنَّهُمْ صَغَّرُوا أَمْرَهَا أَوْ أَمْرَهُ فَقَالَ دُلُّونِي عَلَى قَبْرِهِ فَدَلُّوهُ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْقُبُورَ مَمْلُوءَةٌ ظُلْمَةً عَلَى أَهْلِهَا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ ﷻ يُنَوِّرُهَا لَهُمْ بِصَلاَتِي عَلَيْهِمْ  

ahmad:9037 – ʿAffān > Ḥammād b. Zayd > Thābit > Abū Rāfiʿ > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] A person used to regularly pray in the mosque and when they died, the Prophet ﷺ missed their presence. He asked, "What happened to the person who used to pray in the mosque?" They informed him that the person had passed away. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Why didn't you inform me? You should have informed me." They replied, "It was during the night." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Show me their grave." He went to the grave and prayed for them, then said, "It is confirmed through this incident, or in another narration, that these graves are filled with darkness upon its inhabitants, and Allah ﷻ illuminates them with my prayers for them."  

أحمد:٩٠٣٧ – حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ إِنْسَانًا كَانَ يَقُمُّ الْمَسْجِدَ أَسْوَدَ فمَاتَ أَوْ مَاتَتْ فَفَقَدَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا فَعَلَ الْإِنْسَانُ الَّذِي كَانَ يَقُمُّ الْمَسْجِدَ؟ قَالَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ مَاتَ قَالَ فَهَلَّا آذَنْتُمُونِي بِهِ؟ فَقَالُوا إِنَّهُ كَانَ لَيْلًا قَالَ فَدُلُّونِي عَلَى قَبْرِهَا قَالَ فَأَتَى الْقَبْرَ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَاقَالَ ثَابِتٌ عِنْدَ ذَاكَ أَوْ فِي حَدِيثٍ آخَرَ إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْقُبُورَ مَمْلُوءَةٌ ظُلْمَةً عَلَى أَهْلِهَا وَإِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يُنَوِّرُهَا بِصَلَاتِي عَلَيْهِمْ

[Machine] A black woman used to attend the mosque regularly, but when she died, the Prophet (PBUH) missed her. He asked about her after a few days and was informed that she had died. He said, "Why didn't you inform me?" He then went to her grave and prayed for her. Ibn Abda added in his narration that Hammad informed him that Thabit said, "The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, 'These graves are filled with darkness for their inhabitants, but Allah illuminates them with my prayers upon them.'"  

البيهقي:٧٠١٤ – وَقَدْ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو صَالِحِ بْنُ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ أنبأ جَدِّي يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْقَاضِي ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ قَالَا ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ثنا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
