ذِكْرُ خَبَرٍ ثَانٍ يُصَرِّحُ بِإِبَاحَةِ اسْتِعْمَالِ مَا وَصَفْنَاهُ

[Machine] The translation of the given Arabic sentence into English is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform five Rak'ahs of voluntary prayer (Tahajjud) and would not sit down in any of the five units except in the last one, he would sit and then make the Salam (the final salutation)."  

ابن حبّان:٢٤٤٠أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُوتِرُ بِخَمْسٍ لَا يَجْلِسُ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنَ الْخَمْسِ إِلَّا فِي آخِرِهِنَّ يَجْلِسُ ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُ»

The Prophet ﷺ used to pray witr with five and he did not sit except in the last (rak'ah) of them.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform Tahajjud prayer with five prostrations, without sitting in between them, until he sat after the fifth prostration and then said the Salam.  

أحمد:٢٤٣٥٧حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِخَمْسِ سَجَدَاتٍ لَا يَجْلِسُ بَيْنَهُنَّ حَتَّى يَجْلِسَ فِي الْخَامِسَةِ ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمَ  

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ قَدْ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِأَكْثَرَ مِنْ وَاحِدَةٍ إِذَا صَلَّى بِاللَّيْلِ فِي بَعْضِ اللَّيَالِي دُونَ الْبَعْضِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray thirteen rak'ahs during the night, observing a witr out of that with five, he did not sit during the five except the last and then gave the salutation. Abu Dawud said: Ibn Numair reported it from Hisham recently. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1338)
