ذِكْرُ خَبَرٍ ثَانٍ يَدُلُّ عَلَى أَنَّ الْوِتْرَ لَيْسَ بِفَرْضٍ

[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said, "Witr prayer is an obligation. Whoever wishes to perform it with five [units], let them do so. Whoever wishes to perform it with three [units], let them do so. Whoever wishes to perform it with one [unit], let them do so. And whoever finds it difficult, let them make a gesture [to indicate their intention]."  

ابن حبّان:٢٤١١ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيُّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «الْوِتْرُ حَقٌّ فَمَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُوتِرَ بِخَمْسٍ فَلْيُوتِرْ وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُوتِرَ بِثَلَاثٍ فَلْيُوتِرْ وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُوتِرَ بِوَاحِدَةٍ فَلْيُوتِرْ بِهَا وَمَنْ غَلَبَهُ ذَلِكَ فَلْيُومِئْ إِيمَاءً»
