The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to stay up at night talking with Abu Bakr ؓ , discussing some affairs of the Muslims, and I was with him. (Using translation from Aḥmad 178)
«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَا يَزَالُ يَسْمُرُ عِنْدَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ اللَّيْلَةَ فِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْ أُمُورِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَإِنَّهُ سَمَرَ عِنْدَهُ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ»
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to stay up at night talking with Abu Bakr ؓ , discussing some affairs of the Muslims, and I was with him.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْمُرُ عِنْدَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ اللَّيْلَةَ كَذَلِكَ فِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was staying up late one night with Abu Bakr, discussing some issue of the Muslims, and I was with him.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْمُرُ عِنْدَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ اللَّيْلَةَ كَذَاكَ فِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ
"عَنْ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَسْمِرُ عِنْدَ أَبِى بَكْرٍ اللَّيْلَ كَذَلِكَ فِي الأَمْرِ مِنْ أُمُورِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ".
