ذِكْرُ مَا يُسْتَحَبُّ لِلْمَرْءِ الِاعْتِمَادُ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ عِنْدَ الْقِيَامِ مِنَ الْقُعُودِ الَّذِي وَصَفْنَاهُ

[Machine] "I do indeed pray, but I do not desire prayer. Rather, I desire to teach you how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray. He said, 'Remember Allah when you raise your head from prostration in the first raka'ah, sit upright for a moment, then stand while relying on the ground.'"  

ابن حبّان:١٩٣٥أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ السَّخْتِيَانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ قَالَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا مَسْجِدَنَا قَالَ

إِنِّي لَأُصَلِّي وَمَا أُرِيدُ الصَّلَاةَ وَلَكِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُعَلِّمَكُمْ كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي قَالَ «فَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ حَيْثُ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ السُّجُودِ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى اسْتَوَى قَاعِدًا ثُمَّ قَامَ فَاعْتَمَدَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ»

Abu Sulaiman Malik b. al-Huwairth came to our mosque, and said: By Allah, I Shall offer prayer, though I do not intend to pray; I only intend to show you how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying. The narrator said: ( He then prayed and ) he sat at the end of the first rak’ah when he raised his head after the last prostration.
